According to Turkish daily newspaper, Gazete Vatan, Mariah Carey performed only four songs in Turkey over the weekend for a whopping $1.5 million dollars. Additionally the pop diva scored a $100,000 diamond butterfly ring as part of the deal! Now that’s what I call having a good agent!

Mariah Carey performed only 4 songs during the night and she got 1.5 million dollars in return. The world-famous singer who talked about her butterfly-shaped ring she wore on the stage said, “This is a gift from Ismailov family for me.” It was reported that the ring costs around 100,000 dollars.

The fascinating finale of the night was ended by Mariah Carey. Carey, who got all the guests on the dance floor, and the guests later on continued their night at the “Monkey Bar”.

Mariah Carey (rocking Roberto Cavalli Spring 2009) and hubby Nick Cannon attended Roberto Cavalli’s dinner held on his yacht during the 62nd International Cannes Film Festival Saturday night in Cannes. Mariah recently spoke on her reasoning for her role as a social worker in her new film Precious with UK’s ITN:

“I had to kind of completely lose everything that is me – the celebrity or the singer or however you want to describe me. That was number one like that had to go out the window immediately and that wasn’t an issue really. Aside from that, it was like shedding layers of a mask or just skin, just really like becoming somebody completely new. Even more than just like, ‘Okay, there’s no make-up in this, we’re gonna do a prosthetic nose.’ They tried to do prosthetic nose. My face broke out from that. We had to take it off but it still… then it just enlarged my nose. It was like everything that could go wrong, you know, Lee wanted me to look as unglamorous as I could because you really didn’t want people to be taken out of the film but he believed that I could do this role of the social worker.”ITN

I’m so excited about seeing Precious – there’s already Oscar-buzz surrounding Mo’Nique and Mariah!

After hearing Eminem’s new song “Bagpipes From Baghdad,” Nick Cannon went off in his blog to defend his wife (and my diva’s) honor! Eminem rapped about his relationship with Mariah, jokingly stated he wanted her back. Once Nick heard his name on the song, it was over for him.

“I thought it was old material that had been dug up from when dude ‘fantasized’ about having a pretend fling with Mariah,” the music television channel reported. “But all of a sudden I hear my name in the verse! My first reaction was like, ‘This is his new sh-t? Wow, that’s too bad.’…I feel sorry for him because he must really be stuck in the past,” Nick says, according to US magazine. “Not only has his music not evolved, but also homeboy is still obsessed with my wife, the same female that wouldn’t let him get to second base from eight years ago…What type of grown…man lies about getting with a chick? Only Slim Lamey! LOL!” Yahoo
