The splendiferous Carrie Underwood graces the May issue of Cosmopolitan magazine! Carrie Underwood, the first American Idol winner to sweep up honors at all three major music awards in the same awards show season (06-07), opens up about her weight, fame and love.

Carrie on her weight:

“I gained weight on the show, but I didn’t starve myself afterward. I might feel guilty if I eat a pizza. But I’ve tried to be healthy and exercise as much as I can. If that’s made me lose weight, I guess I needed to.”

“Guys who would never look at me twice before might ask me out now, so I guess I have better opportunities. But when I do meet a guy, there’s this ‘Does he just want his picture in a magazine?’ factor.”

In the issue, America discusses how her parents wanted her to become a lawyer: “Acting was not something that they [America’s Honduran-born parents] came to this county to have me do. For a time I thought I could be a lawyer. Once I saw what it really meant to be a lawyer, I realized that it wasn’t for me. I thought it was like in the movies, like, ‘You can’t handle the truth!”

She also is candid about her weight issues: “Of course I want to be at a weight where I’m happy. There are times when I go to the gym and really try, and there are times when I just don’t. I gain a pound; I lose a pound. But I think I’ve developed a really good sense of when I’m doing something for myself as opposed to when I’m doing something because of other people’s expectations of me. And honestly, even if I wanted to be anorexic, I just don’t have what it takes. After four hours of being anorexic, I’d be like, ‘It’s been four whole hours! Feed me!”

I know that’s right! At least someone is eating in Hollywood!

1. “I eat meat, I eat carbs, I even eat McDonald’s. What I don’t do is ever over-eat.”
2. “I don’t eat desserts and I can limit the chocolate-chip cookies to one or two.”
3. “If I put on a few pounds, I feel it immediately and I just get a bit more strict with myself.”

Jennifer also dishes about her BFF Victoria Beckham—”The best thing about Victoria is that she’s got this really funny British sense of humor”, and “Her clothes are just amazing. She’s so stylish.” Don’t you just feel the Scientology love!

Christina Aguilera helped Nylon magazine celebrate their 8th anniversary at The Gansevoort in New York City. She was there with her hubby Jordan Bateman and a host of other stars that came to celebrate. Eve and Lance Bass “came out” to celebrate the wonderful occasion. Also on hand at the party were Soprano’s starlet Jamie-Lynn Sigler and MTV VJ Damien Fahey.
