Beyonce’s new video had me thinking about Marilyn Monroe’s iconic performance of “Diamond’s Are A Girl’s Best Friend”. From there I could only think of how Madonna took that legendary performance and created an iconic image all her own in “Material Girl”. This takes me back! An aging 48-year-old drunk Madonna was photographed all dazed and confused as she left the exclusive Claridge’s restaurant in London on Sunday being helped to the car by her orgasmic husband, Guy Ritchie. Love muffins ain’t nothing wrong with hitting the bottle every now and then!

[MASEKESE, Malawi] Madonna left Malawi on Sunday after a six day visit. The superstar and husband Guy Ritchie took custody of David Banda, a 20 month old Malawi boy they found in an orphanage last October. On the agenda for the visit was the opening of a new daycare center being funded by Madonna, trips to several programs for street children, and visits to various orphanages. Since taking custody of David, Madonna has come under fire by several coalition groups who argue that she used her star power to circumvent Malawi adoption procedures but locals are glad that Madonna is drawing attention to the country that is suffering drought and hunger. Madonna and Ritchie are currently being reviewed for the adoption of David by Malawi Welfare Services to assess if they are good parents for little David.

Madonna returned to the Malawian orphanage where she adopted her son David Banda with her 9-year-old daughter, Lourdes, for the second time today. A reunion with David’s biological father is to occur by days end.

It’s amazing how much Lourdes looks like Madonna! But I’m not sure about all these celebrities adopting African babies. I just hope they’re doing it for the right reasons.

Today someone threw a large amount of neon green paint on Madonna’s Giant Poster in London. Well I guess not everyone is a fan of her new Range for H & M.

“Me Against The Music” rounds out our week of Flashback Video Duets. This video isn’t really that old but both of these artists have been in the news a lot recently. Britney recently started her 2nd consecutive week in rehab and Madonna’s just debuted her new H&M line. This video was like a symbolic passing of the torch from the Queen of Pop to one of it’s rising princesses. Enjoy Love Muffins!
