The internet has been abuzz about rumored collaborations for Madge’s upcoming album. Now Timbaland has finally fessed up to working with the material girl.

“We just did Madonna’s record,” Timbo said, sitting in the “TRL” green room. He was part of the cavalcade of stars… who came out for the VMA press conference on Tuesday. “Me and Justin did the records” for the album, he continued, saying Madonna is almost done with the effort. “She’s great. … She’s got a hot album. Her album is up there with Justin’s album.”

Tim says he and Justin wrote and produced 10 songs for Madge’s LP, many of which will make the club jump.

He also confirmed that he’s not the only producer she worked with.

“Pharrell did a hot one for her too called ‘Candy Shop.’ She’s off the chain.”

Beyonce’s new video had me thinking about Marilyn Monroe’s iconic performance of “Diamond’s Are A Girl’s Best Friend”. The superstar and husband Guy Ritchie took custody of David Banda, a 20 month old Malawi boy they found in an orphanage last October. On the agenda for the visit was the opening of a new daycare center being funded by Madonna, trips to several programs for street children, and visits to various orphanages. Since taking custody of David, Madonna has come under fire by several coalition groups who argue that she used her star power to circumvent Malawi adoption procedures but locals are glad that Madonna is drawing attention to the country that is suffering drought and hunger. Madonna and Ritchie are currently being reviewed for the adoption of David by Malawi Welfare Services to assess if they are good parents for little David.

Madonna returned to the Malawian orphanage where she adopted her son David Banda with her 9-year-old daughter, Lourdes, for the second time today. A reunion with David’s biological father is to occur by days end.

It’s amazing how much Lourdes looks like Madonna! But I’m not sure about all these celebrities adopting African babies. I just hope they’re doing it for the right reasons.
