Love muffins, Tony-winning stage and film actress Natasha Richardson died Wednesday after sustaining injuries in a skiing accident. She was 45.
Richardson was injured about 80 miles northwest of Montreal, Canada while taking lessons on a beginners’ slope. Although she did not initially show any visible signs of injury, she was taken to get medical treatment at the ski resort as a precaution after her fall. She returned to her hotel about an hour later, and was reportedly “not feeling well.” Richardson was taken to a local hospital, and subsequently transfered to Lenox HIll Hospital in New York City, where she died.
Her films include “The Parent Trap and Maid in Manhattan, and she is survived by husband, Liam Neeson.
“She was a wonderful woman and actress and treated me like I was her own,” said Lindsay Lohan, who as a preteen starred with Richardson in a remake of The Parent Trap in 1998. “My heart goes out to her family. This is a tragic loss.”[Source]
I would like to offer my condolences to her family and friends. Rest in peace Natasha Richardson.
