Keri Hilson attended the Charlotte Ronson Spring 2010 Fashion Show at Bryant Park on Friday in NYC. She wore a Charlotte Ronson Fall 2009 black one-shoulder mini dress. She accessorized her look with a leather glove and patent leather platform pumps.

On Monday, singer Keri Hilson was featured as the BET ‘Rising Icon’ which is a new special on BET focusing on the rising new artists in Black music. Keri was honored in New York City and celebrated with celebs such as The Dream, Christina Milian, Debra Lee, Idris Elba, Ryan Leslie and more. Prince’s new album, Lotusflow3r, sold exclusively through Target, leads early sales figures. Whether or not it will debut atop the Billboard Top 200 next week remains to be seen – it sees strong competition from country act Keith Urban.

In other music news, the 30th installment of the Now series opens at the top of this week’s Billboard Top 200, selling 146,000 copies. The compilation features singles by Lady Gaga, Britney Spears and the PCD. The Hannah Montana soundtrack debuts in the number two slot, selling 139,000 copies. Hannah Montana: The Movie opens in theatres April 10th. The Twilight soundtrack enjoys a 37% spike in sales to 102,000 for the week. Songwriter Keri Hilson sees her debut album, In A Perfect World… open in the fourth spot with 94,000 copies. Rounding out the top five, Kelly Clarkson’s All I Ever Wanted moved 52,000 copies in its third week of release.

Okay Love Muffins, its time for a Cover War! A few days ago I posted the Keri Hilson version of “Hey Girl” ft. T-Pain and Lil Jon. I talked a bit about the controversy surrounding the song and mentioned how the song was scrapped from Keri’s album and given to up-and-coming girl group, The Paradiso Girls. Earlier today, The Paradiso Girls’ version of the song (renamed “Patron Tequila”) hit the net. It’s pretty much the same, except for T-Pain is no longer featured. Personally, I enjoyed Keri’s version better – her vocals are stronger and I think fit the song better. The Paradiso Girls sound too over-processed and don’t seem to have any real vocal skill.

This song is straight fire! However, there’s been a bit of controversy surrounding the release of this song. “Hey Girl” was supposed to be featured on Keri Hilson’s In A Perfect World…, but was pulled from the album at the last minute due to the fact that the song has been given to Robin Antin’s (the founder of The Pussycat Dolls) new girl group The Paradiso Girls. Renamed “Patron Tequila,” the song is slated to be the girls’ first single and is set to debut really soon.

Love Muffins! Get into this previously-unreleased song from The Pussycat Dolls! This hot like fire dance track, written by Keri Hilson and produced by Darkchild, will be featured on PCD’s Doll Domination: 2.0 re-release. I definitely see myself adding this to my workout playlist! Note: It’s nice to hear Melody singing actual lyrics and not just an “ooh yeah” ad-lib every now and then.

Kelly Clarkson maintains her stride by spending her second week in the number one slot on Billboard’s Top 200, selling 90,000 copies of her All I Ever Wanted set. The album is down 65% from its opening week, but in this day of ever-declining music sales, this decrease is totally normal. Have you love muffins listened to the album? It’s actually a cute little pop record – make sure you pick it up on iTunes.

Next up is megagroup U2’s No Line On The Horizon with 76,000 copies in its third week of release. The Twilight soundtrack is bronze with 74,000 movements and just over 1.5 million total sold to date, followed by The-Dream’s Love Vs. Money with 56,000 scanned. Lady Gaga continues her climb with 50,000 units sold, up from 47,000 last week for Fame. The mighty Gaga is currently on her headlining club tour, hitting New York City in early May.

Country sweetheart Taylor Swift’s Fearless is sixth with 47,000 sold and rockers Nickelback in seventh with 34,000 sold of Dark Horse. Gorilla Zoe’s sophomore set, Don’t Feed Da Animals opens with 31,000, and Beyonce’s I Am…Sasha Fierce is in ninth with 27,000 in its 18th week on the chart. Jamie Foxx rounds out the top ten with 24,000 sold of Intuition.

I don’t know about y’all, but I’m excited to see how Keri Hilson’s In A Perfect World… opens. I hope it does well because it’s a cute little record!

Here is some music for your listening pleasure. Jennifer Hudson’s “Stand Up” is a beautiful bonus track from her self-titled debut album. You can actually feel what she is singing about. Where is my box of tissue! Keri Hilson’s “Return The Favor” might have to grow on me, but her voice sounds great on the track though which will be on her album In A Perfect World…. Ne-Yo’s “Sexy In Here” is extremely sexy to me. He honestly needs to use songs like this as a single treatment. “I Know You Missed Me” is a club banging track from T.I. which is a bonus track on his album Paper Trail. I feel like dropping it like it’s hot! T.I. is doing it on this album! I am loving Teairra Mari’s “The Truth”. Keri Hilson did a stellar job performing her debut single “Energy” live on Yahoo Music’s Who’s Next. Her band was getting it at the end of the song. Be on the lookout for her debut album In A Perfect World… to be released in the US on November 4, 2008. Thoughts?

Ingredients:
1/2 ounce rum
1/2 ounce coconut-flavored rum
1/2 ounce grenadine syrup
1 ounce orange juice
1 ounce pineapple juice
1 cup crushed ice

Directions:
Blend regular rum, coconut rum, grenadine, orange juice, pineapple juice and crushed ice until the texture is like a slush.

Nicholas Cage is starting off the fall movie season with this action/thriller movie. Bangkok Dangerous is supposed to be one of those high paced movies with a lot of edge of your seat moments. I hope that it is all about the hype because Nicholas Cage is a great actor, despite the terrible hair cut they have him sporting in this movie.

1/2 cup blood orange juice
2 tablespoons lemon juice (1 lemon)
1 cup Triple Sec
3 cups ice
1 cup white tequila
4 frozen margarita glasses

Directions:
Combine the blood orange juice, lemon juice, Triple Sec, and ice in a blender and puree until completely blended. Add the tequila and puree for 2 seconds more. Pour the mixture into the frozen margarita glasses and serve and enjoy!

I know it took forever (nearly two months to be exact) but we finally received the video for the ASCAP Awards!! Blige who was honored with the “Voice of Music Award,” the super duper orgasmic Tank, Kandi Burruss, the beautiful Letoya Luckett, Gabriel “Wonder” Arillo, Erica Campbell of Mary Mary, Young Berg, my new best friend Drew Sidora and the splendiferous Keri Hilson.
