Jessica Simpson co-hosted the 44th annual Academy of Country Music Awards nominations announcement at Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on Wednesday in Nashville, Tennessee. Jessica wasn’t up for any nomination, but I am sure she was not upset about it. As far as the world worrying about her weight, this is what she had to say:

“Honestly, I am right where I’m supposed to be. I am so happy,” Simpson said. “Right now I’m on tour with Rascal Flatts, having a blast. We’re at Madison Square Garden tomorrow. Everybody’s just been so warm and welcoming. Lots of hugs, I like that … Texas style.” US

Earlier this week, pictures of Jessica Simpson performing has caused quite a stir regarding her weight issue. Her brother-in-law, Pete Wentz, jumped on the bandwagon to defend Jessica.

But I am glad that Jessica is not phased by the controversy over her weight gain.

Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy and his wife Ashlee Simpson attended the gallery opening of Pete Wentz and Travis McCoy’s “Without You I’m Just Me” held at Gallery 1988 Tuesday night in West Hollywood. While Jessica Simpson was out shopping with her best friend and stylist Ken Paves in West Hollywood on Saturday, he was sent to the hospital Saturday night after being injured by a photographer trying to take Jessica’s picture.

“There were so many paparazzi waiting for Jessica and trying to get a picture of her that they all started pushing,” says an onlooker. “Jessica was ducking down and Ken Paves and her other male friend were trying to cover her and that’s when Ken was hit in the face with a camera.” Eonline

Update: Pictures of Britney Spears leaving the broadway musical “In The Heights” Tuesday night were added.

On Tuesday, Britney Spears was surrounded in Soho, New York while trying to get to her car. She looked slightly irritated. Britney was also seen on the streets of Manhattan on the night before. I know I say this every time I mention Britney, but I am loving her new single “Womanizer”! Christina Milian was spotted looking fierce in her purple ensemble Monday night while getting her groove on in Hollywood. I cannot wait for October 6th to come around, because that is the date her new single “Us Against The World” premieres. Pop star gone country Jessica Simpson was spotted leaving the Touch of Gold Tanning Salon in Los Angeles Tuesday afternoon. Jessica Simpson’s marriage to Nick Lachey was so endearing and beautiful, but it was short! Luckily Jessica is strong and willing to walk down the aisle again. In an interview with Fox News Jessica said “I would love to be making records and making babies, and hopefully I’m married in 10 years, I have the dreams of every normal person.” Even though Jessica has dreams of having a family she’s very busy working on her country album which will be released September 9th. One of the songs on the new album is called “Remember That.” The song is about an abusive relationship. Jessica has said “There’s nothing on my album … that I don’t relate to or that I haven’t experienced.”

Carrie Underwood recently mentioned in the September 2008 issue of Allure magazine that her ex-boyfriend Tony Romo, who is now dating Jessica Simpson, still calls her.

“We were both small-town people doing very big things, and we relied on each other, dealing with fame,” she says of Romo. “I don’t know. The phone will ring and it’ll be him, and I’ll maybe not answer.” US magazine

However, Jessica decided to bring attention to the “lies” that Carrie told on Nashville’s 107.5 FM’s on Wednesday.

“I looked at his call log…Tony and I both laughed at that,” Simpson said. “We got a chuckle out of it.” She went on, “If Tony wanted to call her and be with her, he would.” US Magazine

What do you think love muffins, because looking at someones call log doesn’t say much. Jessica did you check out his cell phone bill? Also, Tony may have more then one phone. Don’t forget, the interview was done several months earlier so he could have been blowing up her cell phone. Thoughts?

Yesterday, I reported the Jessica Simpson is the new face of the Stampede Light Plus beer. The tag line in her new ad “Be Smart Drink Smart” just made me giggle – I couldn’t help it. I know you remember her MTV show Newlyweds. Thoughts?
