October 7, 2008 ‘The Secret Life Of Bees’ Premiere!

Queen Latifah, Dakota Fanning, and Jennifer Hudson attended their Beverly Hills premiere of The Secret Life Of Bees Monday night held at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Alicia Keys was missing in action, but my girl Eva Marcelle attended the premiere. Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith attended to support Queen Latifah and the film. I hope this movie does well for them – I still haven’t read the novel, but I have heard great reviews. I will be heading to the theater to watch this movie. Thoughts? September 19, 2008 Jam It/Slam It: J. Hud – I’m His Only Woman

New material from Jennifer Hudson’s upcoming album is steady leaking, and this time it features Fantasia Barrino herself. “I’m His Only Woman” compliments both of the powerhouses that comes from both ladies. Old soul and jazz are a great combination and these ladies do it for me. I would have never thought that these two ladies could have created something so fierce together! The phone conversation at the beginning is hilarious. Would you jam it or slam it?

September 13, 2008 Jam It or Slam It: J. Hud – Pocketbook

Another tracked has surfaced from Jennifer Hudson’s self-titled debut album. “Pocketbook” features none other then Ludacris, but even Ludacris couldn’t get me to like this song. It is something different for Jennifer but I am not feeling it. It may have to grow on me. Hopefully, this is not her second single. Would you jam it or slam it?
