Jennifer Hudson made an appearance in central park yesterday evening to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the classic film The Wizard of Oz. She took to the stage to give an exhilarating performance of “Over the Rainbow” and while it was over the top, she sounded absolutely amazing and it was a really original rendition. I loved the R&B/Gospel feel she brought to the song.

Jennifer Hudson just got added to the VH1 Divas line-up alongside Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis, Jordin Sparks and Miley Cyrus. Not only that, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Cyndi Lauper and Martina McBride have all joined as special musical guests! Kathy Griffin, Toni Braxton, Ryan Kwanten, Lauren Conrad, Whitney Port and the cast of MGM Film “Fame” (Asher Book, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, Kherington Payne, Naturi Naughton, and Walter Perez) have all been added as presenters for the evenings festivities.

Jennifer Hudson and her fiancé David Otunga welcomed their son David Daniel Otunga Jr. on Monday. “The baby is beautiful and perfect,” says Hudson’s rep Lisa Kasteler. “His parents are ecstatic.” The newborn weighed 7 lbs., 14 oz., at birth. Congratulations to the happy family!

Love muffins, Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson had a baby shower in Chicago over the weekend. According to US, it was “a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family…they’re really trying to keep it kind of quiet. It was a nice time that we had!”.

They are not sure what the sex of the baby is, but a lot of yellow was given. Again, congratulations! Thoughts?

R&B diva Jennifer Hudson performed on NBC’s Today at Rockefeller Center Friday morning in New York City. I guess everyone knows that J. Hud is pregnant and things of that nature by the man (David “Punk” Otunga) standing to her right during her “If This Isn’t Love” performance which she rocked! Sidebar: What’s up with everybody wearing those I Dream Of Jeanie pants?! I’m going to be nice because she’s pregnant but this is a fashion faux-pas!
