Tyler Perry’s newest film Why Did I Get Married? stars the woman who seems to be on her way to hearing wedding bells: Janet Jackson. Based on the previews it will be a fun film to usher in the holiday season and watching Jill Scott make her acting debut will be an added bonus. Get your tickets when it hits theaters October 12.

Years ago a Seattle-based rapper by the name of Sir Mix-a-Lot laid the groundwork for what would soon become a national phenomenon…THE ASS.

Sprung indeed! There are many words for it (bum, caboose, onion, apple, bottom, arse, bubble), but whatever you call it, much of America seems to be infatuated with the hindquarters, and I’m afraid I have to include myself in that group. I have compiled a list of what many think are some of the most bodacious bottoms in the industry. Let’s take a closer look love muffins:

A. Jennifer Lopez: Puerto Rican and Plump! Need I say more?

B. Coco (Ice-T’s better half): I bet you didn’t know white girls could bring it like that!

C. Serena Williams: Tennis balls are not the only thing bouncing when she steps on the court. DAMN!

D. Jessica Biel: Muscle bound and firm! Justin Timberlake must be going crazy!

E. Deelishis: Flavor Flav could easily get lost between those cheeks!

F. Kim Kardashian: Her ass weighs more than Nicole Richie soaking wet!

G. Beyonce Knowles: Bootylicious indeed!

H. Janet Jackson: It looks like she has a midget tied up in the back of her pants! Maybe JD?

20 Y.O.’s album sales were nowhere they were expected to be. Quite disappointing. But Janet has been in the studio since June working on a new album, and finally there’s been announcement of the delivery. Although there are no details, all we do know is that a new album will be out at the beginning of 2008. She’s been in Miami at Circle House Studios with her longtime boo, Jermaine Dupri, L.A. Reid, Ne-Yo and Pharrell. J.D. may not have contributed the same fire to Janet’s album that he gave to all of his other clients, but she may have found a good match with Ne-Yo and Pharrell. They could give her a sound that will truly give be the re-introduction the public’s been waiting for!

Janet Jackson wants us all to know that she’s not done yet! This weekend at the all-exclusive, celebrity-studded weekend in Atlantis, Ms. Jackson performed at the grand opening of the Cove Atlantis in the Bahamas. As for her family, her mother Katherine and sisters Latoya and Rebbie came out to support. On the janet-jackson.com message board, she had this to say:

On the music side, I’ve been in crazy rehearsals preparing for my performance at the Atlantis – Phase III opening on May 11th. I’m performing a mini concert and planning to enjoy the Bahamas with the kids. Then I’m off to Europe to do an event in Cannes and London. I hope you are preparing to have a great summer and I promise to keep in better touch.

***UPDATE: Apparently Janet’s set included these classics—”Rhythm Nation”, “What Have You Done For Me Lately”, “Nasty”, “That’s The Way Love Goes” and “All For You”. Then fireworks illuminated the entire resort to close the show. Hot!
