Hilary Duff appears on the January 2009 issue of Maxim magazine showing off what her momma gave her. In the magazine, she confessed that she didn’t not tell Elle magazine that she was still a virgin two years ago.

“You know what? I was quoted saying I was a virgin, but I absolutely did not say that,” she says in the January issue of Maxim. “That’s nobody’s business but my own. Somehow it turned into a bad thing!”

Plenty of celebrities attended the 2008 CFDA Fashion Awards Monday night in New York City, but we are going to focus on the women of the night. Many mesmerized as several stumbled on their style choices. Hilary Duff sparkles in a form fitted purple dress, while Mandy Moore kills me softly in a strapless blue gown. Ashley Olsen stepped back into the 80s with her ensemble, but Eva Longoria stayed classy in pink. Sometimes Victoria Beckham style is on point, but Monday night it was on ruffles (not a good look) – love her legs though. Eva Mendes cools me down in her white gown – divine! LOS ANGELES CONFIDENTIAL: This movie is so different from what you’ve done before. HILARY DUFF: I think that’s going to be a lot of people’s reaction…. Not really knowing what they’re getting into. It’s definitely interesting and creative.

LAC: Because this movie is so different, how do you think your fans will react to it? HD: That’s a good question. When I read the script I knew I was ready for it. So I was really excited. Then it all sets in: Oh God, I have to have this foul mouth, be this rude and crude girl who tries to be sexy but she’s so young and kind of vulgar. But I think I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t really care. In my personal life I’m not this crazy girl that gets all this tabloid attention, and the attention that I do get, it’s because I want it…I think I am kind of a good girl. I want my fans to still be there, and I do things for them. But I also want to grow, and for people to see me in a different way. I need to make myself happy. It’s a challenge.

LAC: Did you really drop a live scorpion down your pants in the movie?
HD: I really did. It was so scary…And my pants weren’t that baggy, so I couldn’t get any space. I did it a couple times with it going down my leg and it was terrifying.

I didn’t get special privileges growing up, and I didn’t get everything that I wanted and I wasn’t the one supporting the family, so I wasn’t like the boss. I think that has a lot to do with it. And then growing up around lots of young people that were so talented or were on the brink of being really talented, and seeing them get involved and not really having anyone around to tell them how to handle it, or what to do.”

HD on whether she ever looks at Britney and thinks “that could have been me”:

I don’t look at them and think “that could have been me” because I’m me and I’m not like that. But you never know why that is. I know that it can be really hard and there’s lots of pressure with everyone watching you. But I don’t think that excuses some behavior.”

Other than the apparent lack of singing, Hilary Duff pulled off a cute performance during last night’s So You Think You Can Dance episode. What do you think love muffins?

“The most important thing on my list (for boyfriend requirements) would be that he has to be in the business, so he understands how hard it can be, with the lifestyle. “He has to have other interests outside of work. He has to be adventurous and teach me new things, and have a strong faith, and make me laugh, and be cute. I’m kind of crazy, so I like boys who don’t take themselves too seriously,” she added.

Remember when Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan were feuding over Aaron Carter? Those were the days. Hilary’s video for her new single, “Stranger” just premiered and it’s kinda hot. I’ve never been a Duff fan because she doesn’t have a strong voice to me. But I must admit I like the dance/pop direction she’s taken with her past two singles. She looks great in the video and I love the Indian influence throughout. Enjoy love muffins!

Hilary Duff is such a work horse! She was spotted yesterday in an elaborate genie ensemble while on set of her latest video, Stranger, in Los Angeles. Reportedly Hilary has enlisted the help of choreographer Fatima Robinson to direct her sexiest video yet with intricate dance moves for each scene. On June 1 TRL and MuchOnDemand will have a first look for Stranger.
