Lord knows I love my music videos and 2007 gave me plenty to savor. Some of the videos that I thought were particularly visually stimulating included:
Gwen Stefani – The Sweet Escape
Kanye West – Stronger
Feist – 1,2,3,4
Beyonce – Get Me Bodied
Maroon 5 – Makes Me Wonder
Rihanna – Umbrella

Being the optimist I am, I usually try to approach everything in life with a positive attitude but sometimes you gotta call a spade a spade. For every high expectation I had this year, there were equally horrible disappointment waiting around the corner. Nothing seemed to embody this sentiment more than Britney Spears at the VMAs. My Love Muffins know how I stuck my neck out for ther and then…well we all know what happened. Let’s hope next year ends on a more positive note. Here’s the video to remind you of the atrocity.
Here were the disappointments that topped the list.
- Britney Spears’ Horrendous VMA Performance
- Amy Winehouse Ruining Her Career Before It Ever Really Got Started
- Gwen Stefani’s Lackluster Sophmore Album “The Sweet Escape”
- Jessica Simpson’s Stalled Movie Career (If You Can Even Call It That)
- Nicole Scherzinger’s Failed Singles (”Whatever You Like”/”Baby Love”)
- Jennifer Lopez Movie and Album Disasters
- American Idol’s Horrible Season 6

Gwen Stefani, a Southern California native, is reaching out to victims of the wildfires by donating proceeds of her Tuesday concert at San Diego’s Cox Arena to local charity the San Diego Foundation, which is helping the community recover from the ongoing disaster. Stefani announced the effort on San Diego radio station 93.3 KHTS on Monday morning (October 29). “San Diego has always been so supportive of me throughout my entire career … living in Orange County, it has always been like a second home to me,” she said on air.
