Love muffins, Ashton Kutcher delivered a hand writing letter from Cameron Diaz during a press call Saturday for their new movie What Happens in Vegas.

“first of all I want to thank all of you for your support over the years. So many films, so many weekends discussing films. I was really looking forward to this weekend getting to talk to my friends about a film that I am so proud of. Due to the loss of my father I have chosen to be with my family this weekend. But it was important for me to convey to all of you how much I love this film. We really did have the best time, most fun and laughs making it. I know that the stories Ashton, Rob [Corddry] and [Director] Tom [Vaughan] share with you will illustrate that point. I was fortunate to work with a group of truly gifted individuals that share the common denominator of a generous heart and wickedly sick sense of humor. This weekend I am screening What Happens in Vegas for my family. It was a unanimous decision that we all needed to share a good laugh. After all that’s why we make films like these. So people can leave behind their worries for a couple of hours. Have a good laugh. I picture all of your smiles and it makes me happy. Thank you for your continued support. It is much appreciated. Even before last week’s sudden death of her father, Cameron Diaz told W that she’s decided to take a year off after she wraps her current film. “There’s a lot of things that I’ve been wanting to do,” said Diaz, 35. She plans to travel, do charity projects and “get to know myself.” When asked about romance following her split with Justin Timberlake, she responded: “I’m in love with life.” I know that’s right Ms. Diaz! Way to take the high road. Love Muffins we could all take a page out of her book and get to a place where we start loving ourselves. Cameron Diaz got some much needed love and support from two of her exes Justin Timberlake and John Mayer at the memorial service for her late father held Sunday.

Emilio Diaz, 58, died of pneumonia Tuesday morning. On Wednesday, Cameron, 35, thanked everyone for their condolences in a message that read: “His humor and spirit will always live on in our hearts.” And in keeping with that exuberant Diaz family spirit, guests arrived at the memorial service at Mahe in Seal Beach in non-traditional garb. “Most people started arriving at 1:30 and hardly no one wore black,” says a source.”Lots of people were wearing Hawaiian shirts. It looked more like a party.” Timberlake and Mayer arrived separately and stayed until most people started leaving around 4 p.m. – after Cameron had spoken a few words to the group. Love Muffins my heart goes out to Cameron Diaz whose father, Emilo, has passed away. A rep for New Line Cinema, the studio making Cameron’s new film, My Sister’s Keeper, reports that while the grieving actress was absent from the set today due to her father’s death, the production did not shut down. Scenes that didn’t involve Cameron carried on with shooting, and no shut down is planned at this time. My prayers are with Cameron throughout this time.
