Page Six is reporting that Jive, Brit-Brit’s record label, were knocked off their rockers when she backed out of a duet with her ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake and Timbaland. The record label was counting on this duet to be a part of her big comeback, but Brit-Brit didn’t want to do it.

The song was written by Justin, so all she had to do was fly to Virginia Beach to record her part and at some point Justin would record his.

The source stated:

“She’s looking for a comeback, and this would have not only been a huge hit, but something she could have opened the MTV Video Awards with and really blown everyone away.”

“Listen, everyone is worried. In her mind, her album is done and she’s done enough work . . . She’s an easy target right now, because she’s . . . sick. People like her are sick. It’s like an anorexic who’s sick in the head and needs help. She needs help. I’m so excited! Rumors have been swirling about these photographs taken earlier this week of Britney Spears with Criss Angel together. X17 is reporting that the two will perform together at the VMAs September 9 in Las Vegas!

An X17 source told us Brit and Criss were meeting last night to work on their performance and to start going over the choreography plan with the dancers.

Nice to see Brit-Brit is starting the magical preparation for her performance early! (B. Scott thinking it’s about time Britney officially pulls it together!)
