With all the hype surrounding Britney Spears’ VMA performance no one was more shocked than me to see this girl lazily walk around and give a half-assed performance of “Gimme More”. We all expected her to lip-synch but at least she could have made an effort to stay with the track. It looked like a f&*king rehearsal. I was expecting her performance to be out of the world but it absolutely SUCKED! She failed to execute the already lackluster choreography and her dancers completely outshined her. I actually found myself yawning in the middle of her performance. She acted like she didn’t even want to be there and by the end of her performance I agreed with her…I didn’t want her to be there either. Gimme LESS!

And what was all that talk about Chris Angel helping her performance? The only magic trick she did was help make her career disappear. Update: He was in the audience tounging down Tommy Lee. Can you really blame him?

I hope she has something else up her sleeve because right now she’s SOL.

and why is Timbaland hating on Brit-Brit and the producer of “Gimme More” who’s from his very own team!

When Ryan Seacrest asked him if he was for or against Britney about opening the show during an interview, Timbaland said:

“Britney’s cool, but I think that … it was too much,” he says. “Now it’s like, ‘Okay, Britney’s opening, she got a new song.’ …It’s kinda dull. It’s kinda flat-lined.”

Timbaland on Britney’s new song, “Gimme More,” the producer said:

“I haven’t heard it but everyone tells me, they just don’t say nothing about it.”

A little birdie told me that Timbaland is just bitter because he was originally musically orchestrating the entire show when out of no where Brit-Brit and her people came in and took the opening act which he will have nothing to do with! (B. Scott gives Timbaland a hug!)

After late night VMA rehearsals yesterday Britney Spears was all smiles as she sipped on champagne with six girlfriends at P. Diddy’s Pure Nightclub Party in Las Vegas.

Here’s what People magazine had to say:

Spears, who arrived in Vegas Friday afternoon and had slipped into the club through a side door with six girlfriends, wore a strapless black mini as she held court in the VIP area, smiling, sipping champagne and dancing barefoot on a couch. At one point, Diddy got on the microphone and told the crowd, “Britney, she holds her head up high, show some respect.” Spears ducked her head down shyly, but bounced back when her new single “Gimme More” blared over the speakers. Her friends jumped in front of her and started dancing. The singer left around 2:30 a.m., smiling and waving to the crowd as she walked through a path cleared by security guards.

In regards to Brit-Brit’s upcoming performance a little birdie told me that:

“She looks great. She’s going to blow people away.“

and TMZ is reporting:

Friday night run-through: Brit-Brit will open the show on Sunday with her new single, “Gimme More,” a track that begins with the apropos warning, “It’s Britney, bitch!”
Brit-Brit’s act will include a cadre of dancers and Vegas-y aerialists. During the rehearsal, she was still working in some tricky choreography. “With each run-through, a choreographer gives Britney more steps to weave in.” Lord knows she can weave! As the practice continued, says the report, the dancers’ performances become more sexual. Oh, this sounds good, don’t it?

Perhaps in homage to the glittery magic of Las Vegas, Spears consulted with illusionist Criss Angel, star of A&E’s “Mindfreak,” on “some of the moments of the performance,” said Jesse Ignjatovic, the executive producer of this year’s VMAs.

As for what we can expect from Ms. Spears, Ignjatovic wouldn’t give up the goods, but promised fans would be thrilled.

“You can expect the things we want and expect from Britney – that will all be there,” he said. “What I’ve seen of it is great. She’ll be dancing, performing, doing her thing. That’s exactly what we all want. Fans that are familiar with her performance on previous VMAs will not be disappointed.”

… just like she will blowup the upcoming MTV VMAs this Sunday! Brit-Brit who’s preparing for her big comeback performance made a pit-stop yesterday in LA to use a public bathroom. I guess when you gotta go, you gotta go at least she has shoes on this time!
