Us Weekly is reporting that Britney Spears will possibly get her two sons back on Wednesday.

A source close to Spears tells Us her optimism comes from the fact the Monday decision to give K-Fed custody was merely the result of some scheduling conflicts that kept Spears from taking her court-mandated drug tests. “There were scheduling conflicts and some errors in communication as to times and places for drug tests etc, but they’re all squared away now,” the source says, continuing, “Britney is hoping the judge will reverse the order Wednesday, now that she is making steps to follow through with what they asked.” Lufti has been taking care of the scheduling for Britney, another source tells Us. “Sam is arranging for Britney to take drug tests. He’s arranging everything and getting it on track. Everyone is optimistic that she’ll get her kids back soon.” Lufti also took Spears to the DMV yesterday to help her get a valid California license. “Sam is a really good friend of Britney’s,” the source tells Us. “He’s a really good guy all around. She respects him.”

We all know that Kevin Federline has been granted temporary, yet full custody of his two children—Sean Preston and Jayden James—from their unfit mother, Britney Spears. We’re all wondering how and why he’s considered the next best option as a guardian. We know his axel grease contributed to their making, but really. There must be another way around this!

This morning on LA’s Power 106 FM, Big Boy and the Neighborhood spoke with the newly appointed father in charge about his win in this battle. Although he was excited, it seemed like the majority of the phone call was a marketing tool for Federline to plug his new album, which he stated would be named ‘Knuckle Deep in Some Yakisoba’. Why, you’re asking? Well, when he found out the good news, he was just that—knuckle deep in a plate of yakisoba! And he even claimed that he and Britney discussed a potential record release battle of Kanye vs. 50 proportions in the very near future.

In the meantime, we’re all asking the same question: Who is concerned for the kids!

Brit-Brit finally got her California driver’s license today just hours after handing off her kids to Kevin Federline’s bodyguard. Well that’s a step in the right direction, I guess.

Britney’s on her way to getting her kids back by making sure all her bases are covered – first stop, the DMV! Queen B mugged for the camera today as she got her California driver’s license just hours after handing off her kids to KFed’s bodyguard as news came down that she had lost physical custody of her boys.

Brit was charged on September 21 with a hit-and-run and with driving without a license, so this is at least partial restitution.

Britney Spears has lost physical custody of her two sons! Due to Britney driving without a driver’s license while her children were in the car with her this past weekend – Mark Vincent Kaplan, Federline’s attorney, paid a visit to Los Angeles Superior Court Monday morning seeking full custody for K-Fed! And it was granted!

The ruling states:

“Respondent’s oral motion pursuant to section 214FC is granted and the matter proceeds as a closed hearing. The court and all parties present confer on the record that the court makes its order as fully reflected in the notes of the official court reporter. The court’s prior order including the orders made on September 28, 2007 remain in full force and effect with the following modification: Respondent is to retain physical custody of the minor children on Wednesday October 3rd, 2007 at 12 PM until further order of the Court. Repondent’s ex- parte application is noticed for October 3, 2007 at 1:30 PM in Department 88.”

Damn, I guess this is rock bottom for Brit-Brit! Lord please don’t let her do anything to hurt herself but right now I think this is the best thing for Sean Preston and Jayden James. (B. Scott praying for Brit-Brit!) Stay tuned!

Update: Checkout these pictures that X17 has of Britney driving once again today with her children (in the back of the car), taken just minutes before she handed them over to Kevin’s bodyguard. Britney took the boys through the Carl’s Jr. drive-thru on the way to her meeting point. Brit-Brit doesn’t look too sad to me, I bet she will be at Les Duex tonight partying in a couple of hours!

And get this: Spears has never had a California license for all the years she’s lived in L.A.! A DMV official told TMZ, “At this point, Britney Spears does not have a valid California driver’s license. She has an application pending that she never completed.”
