UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie attended the 2009 World Refugee Day at the National Geographic Society Thursday in Washington, DC. The stunning actress took time from filming her upcoming movie to celebrate World Refuge Day.

“Before we said goodbye to the pregnant lady, she pointed to her young boy with such a sad look and she said, ‘He’s always asking for more food, and it hurts me to say, “We have none.” ‘ A few weeks later the war in Afghanistan began.” People

It’s great to know that there are people in the world that honestly do care about other people. Well done Angelina!

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie stopped by the Paris premiere of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button at the Gaumont Marignan cinema Thursday night. Speaking of these two, both stars were nominated for an Academy Award: Angelina for Changeling and Brad for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

“Working with Clint Eastwood was a reward in itself that will last me a lifetime,” [Angelina] says of the film’s director. “It has been an exceptional year for acting, and I am honored to be in the company of these talented actors whose performances all deserve this recognition.” US
