Usher opened the BET Awards ‘08 off with a couple seconds of his latest single “Moving Mountains” then went right into his hit single “Love In This Club”. Honestly, the energy on the stage could have been better. I was really hoping for a Beyonce cameo for his “Love In The Club” remix, but I was disappointment. Chris Brown was super duper adorable as he sung to Rihanna’s hit “Take A Bow”. Ne-Yo performed “Closer” from his upcoming album Year Of The Gentleman. First off, I want to say…did you see me on television?! B. Scott was on TV at the BET Awards ‘08! Let me calm down now. The stars came out and they all looked splendiferous! Usher performed “Love In This Club”, but I think he could have done better. Chris Brown won the award for Best R&B Artist – you already know he was seated next to his girl Rihanna. Speaking of Chris Brown, did you catch the performance he did with Ciara for “Take You Down”? They did that! Keyshia Cole and Lil’ Kim hit the stage to perform “Heaven Sent” and “Let It Go”. Keyshia forgot some of her words, but she still did her thing. Alicia Keys looked divine as she arrived in a cute pink ensemble – I love those shoes! She brought girl power back by bringing SWV, En Vogue, and TLC to the stage during her performance! Pure hotness! Solange worked the red carpet in her animal print sandals – splendiferous! I had a great time at her 22nd birthday party – she knows how to party! My girl Jordan made me lose my breath in her red ensemble. Cassie showed off her legs. Earlier that day Taylor Swift made another appearance at the MTV studios as she performed on TRL. Michelle Williams and her twins showed the camera some love – work it out girl! Keira Knightley could have made her ensemble work for her while she made an appearance at the ‘The Edge Of Love’ Gala Opening in Edinburgh, Scotland on Wednesday. Alicia Keys glowed at the “We Are Together” premiere Thursday night in New York. Her hair was slicked back as she rocked a long ponytail. One day, Alicia will have a house full of children from different cultures like Angelina Jolie.

“I’ve always loved kids. Kids are so important. It’s important to nurture and spend time with them and listen to them. “I’m not ready to be a mom. But [adoption] is something that is important to consider. That’s what I really admire about Angelina [Jolie]. I think it’s beautiful the way she embraces children of the world.”

Tuesday while taking a break from her new music video “Superwoman”, Alicia Keys explains the meaning behind the song “Superwoman” and what it is to be a superwoman. This is such a beautiful song – a great choice for the fourth single from her hit album As I Am. In other Alicia Keys news, Ne-Yo admits that he has formed a crush on Alicia during the tour, but she doesn’t know about it.
