Alicia Keys’ album The Element of Freedom is set for release in December. The newest track to leak from the upcoming project is a soft airy ballad called “Dreaming”. The song reminds me of a mix between her previous songs “Nobody Not Really” and “Butterflyz”. I actually really like it.

Alicia Keys is set to drop her new studio album, The Element of Freedom, on December 15th. The project’s first single “Doesn’t Mean Anything” isn’t performing as well as most of us would have expected, so it’s only fitting that we now have the second single from the project. “Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart” is another mellow jam & I actually like this one a bit more than the first single. This is such a beautiful song – a great choice for the fourth single from her hit album As I Am. In other Alicia Keys news, Ne-Yo admits that he has formed a crush on Alicia during the tour, but she doesn’t know about it.

In the latest issue of Blender Magazine, Grammy Winner, Alicia Keys blames the US government for the deaths of rappers Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G. In the interview, the singer opened up about her political views and conspiracy theories. Keys claimed that the US government invented ‘gangsta rap’ with a purpose. She said that the rappers’ slayings were fuelled by “the government and the media, to stop another great black leader from existing”. The 27-year-old singer also claimed that the ‘gangsta rap movement’ never existed, but was created “as a ploy to encourage black people to kill each other”.
