March 15, 2010 Fashion Spotlight: Telephone
When I first heard that Lady Gaga and Beyonce were doing a video for Telephone, I was curious to see what fabulous and fierce fashions would be featured. As anticipated, the video was full of custom-made designs. Here’s the rundown on some of those pieces…
1 – Gaga in Haus of Gaga w/ Christian Louboutin boots. Beyoncé in Oscar Olima.
2 – Gaga in Search and Destroy studded leather jacket and vintage Chanel sunglasses
3 – Beyoncé in Atsuko Kudo and sunglasses by Jeremy Scott
4 – Beyonce in Jean Charles de Castelbajac jacket and shoes. Denim shorts by Franc Fernandez & Oscar Olima.
5 – Gaga in Jean Charles de Castelbajac and Mercura sunglasses.
6 – Gaga in Brian Lichtenberg

I loved the video, and the song, but to be fair I love everything GaGa does! I was a bit put out that Beyonce tried to GaGa up herself, instead of going in her Sacha Fierce alter ego, in the more blingin’ couture etc. I think that would have looked cooler. But all in all, loved the symbolism, love the fashion, love the dancing, and also I think GaGa is looking great and in shape. She had gotten a lot of grief for losing a few pounds and getting toned (while everyone else gets crap for being a few pounds overweight! pfft) but I actually think it suites her. She doesn’t look too skinny, she just looks slim and healthy. Nice. LOVE the cameo of her 17 year old little sister, too. Looks so much like her. X
