November 29, 2009 Thanksgiving Weekend Predictions: Susan Boyle Takes #1
With big name releases such as Lady Gaga’s The Fame Monster and Rihanna’s highly anticipated Rated R both dropping this past Tuesday, you may be surprised to find out that neither one is set to take the #1 position on the Billboard charts. Britain’s Got Talent alum Susan Boyle is currently in the lead to take the top spot this week with her debut album, I Dreamed a Dream. Her album is projected to sell between 625-675k units, which beats out Eminem’s Relapse of having the year’s biggest debut.
The #2 spot is set to go to Adam Lambert for selling 210-230k unites of his debut, For Your Entertainment. Lady Gaga’s super hot The Fame Monster is projected to sell 190-210k records, putting her album at #3, and Rihanna’s critically acclaimed Rated R is set to come in at #4 with 180-200k units sold.
