Melody Thornton attended the 2009 AMA’s wearing a white and gold Sass & Bide long sleeved mini dress. She completed her look with black booties.
Beyoncé wore the same embellished dress in black at MTV’s Europe Music Awards a few weeks ago. The singer paired her dress with gold platform pumps.

While Bey did rock this ensemble, I think that Melody pulled it off better. The color complemented her skin well and her hair fit the outfit. Not knocking Bey, but that is how I feel!

I think one of the stand-out things about the dress is how the gold flows with the curves of both women, really. However, Beyonce’s gold pumps enhance rather than distract, while Melody’s ankle boots are cute, but a little heavy for the dress.

I’m not a big Beyonce fan…however she made the outfit look better in all aspects..
Just like Tigra said her gold pumps inhanced the outfit rather than distract from it.
Also Melody’s make-up, shoes, fake tan, or slick back bun does the out fit any justice…

i like the black dress although i would wear the white ..but black and gold is like the best they go together very well….B all the wayyyyyyyy the shoe the other person has on does not match yuck!

Melody! She keeps it simple. That super bright red lipstick and the big hair on Beyonce just isn’t working with the dress. It all looks too busy!

i like the dress itself better in black (even tho i don’t usu like black and gold together, unless of course it’s a sam sparro song lol) w/ the gold heels, so i’ll say beyonce. but i’d like to be clear that it has nothing to do w/ beyonce or melody: if they switched dresses, i’d still prefer the black.
plus, melody’s shoes don’t coordinate AT ALL.

Basically Bey over-did it as usual – all the weave – the huge gold earings, red lipstick and gold heels make her look more like a lady of the night than a natural beauty. The white dress is cuter – with the sassy ponytail…Melody could have sassed up her look a bit though with some sexy pumps.

Bs hair and shoes compliment the dress…but the other chick whatshername…nah…her hair is whickedy wack and the shoes dont go/compliment that dress. Thats a personal pref…i dont know about fashion rules but I never like to see a white a gold outfit with black shoes. Reminds me of a ghetto never-come-see styles. Like sweats with dress shoes….ewww.
