November 23, 2009 New Music: Kelis – Acapella
Kelis is back! With a new baby boy, a new label, and a new sound, Kelis is gearing up to release a new album next year. She leaked a new song for us via Twitter earlier with the following message:
Haven’t tweeted in awhile so I feel like I owe u something fun
My new song is called Acapella. Enjoy! xo
“Acapella” is a new track and it was produced by David Guetta. It’s a hard-thumping, bass heavy dance track which reminds be a bit of something Sonique would do. There isn’t word on whether this is an official first single or not.

I really think Kelis is going in the right direction.. indie/dance/pop is where the money is at right now, and a it gives her a chance to be creative with music.. its hard to be out of the box with rnb.. I love this song, this could be big overseas.
