Love muffins, I wanted to bring your attention to a new super talented artist that’s on the rise. MATEO graduated from Atlanta’s Morehouse College with degrees in music and marketing and is now making a name for himself with his newly released live EP Get To Know Me: Live at Swing House.
With his influences listed as Lauryn Hill, India.Arie, Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Justin Timberlake, and Robin Thicke, it’s easy to get lost in his neo-soul flavored rhythms. He describes his own music as “…a mixture rather than one flavor only; R&B/Pop/Alternative/Soul—Urban Mod—if you want to pick a new genre.”

In the first minute I was kinda like “bitch, boo, bye” but then energy built up and i was really vibing by minute 2 and it just kept getting better. AMAZING!.

MATEO!!! finally! this has been my boo 4 a while lol. his music is awesome and i actually danced to his song “Human” at school. Cute and talented. Please keep posting about this dedicated young man

Simple, yet elegant and with a beautiful mix of other genres, luv it! I’ve been a fan since “Now I ain’t got you.” If this is your first time hearing Mateo, I highly recommend listening to his other songs. You won’t be disappointed!
