November 20, 2009 In Case You Missed It: Spotlight On Janet Jackson
Janet Jackson gave her first TV interview since the untimely passing of her brother Michael this past Wednesday on ABC. In the interview she talked about life after MJ, her ex-boyfriend Jermaine Dupri, and her upcoming greatest hits album. Janet’s TV special earned the network fairly high ratings, coming in as the 2nd most watched show in its time slot with 6.7 million viewers.

The Jackson family will always be royalty for me. I took Michael’s death as if it were a distant relative whom I hadn’t seen in years. But, with that said, the Jackson clan are known to be very guarded about their private lives [and, probably rightfully so]. Janet, in particular, is VERY good at keeping secrets [i.e., her two --[and possibly, three] marraiges [look she says that she and JD are not married but we've heard that denial before with a signature little giggle]. And, then there is the not talked about [alleged] daughter that is being raised by another family member [allegedly].
Personally, I don’t buy the allegations that Michael had a drug addiction. Dependency on a Dr. prescribed medication is not a drug addiction, but malpractice [ jmho ].
As for the movie, I refuse to see it. I think he looks like a zombie in the clips I have seen –and, in my opinion this is in no way Michael Jackson the LEGEND at his best. I would prefer remembering him when he was truly in his prime [Thriller, Bad, Black and White]. That to me is the LEGACY that is Michael Jackson.
Not many have mentioned the music, or the unreleased and unfinished tracks that will accompany the release of the film ‘This Is It’. I haven’t really heard them yet, so I will reserve my opinion on that. But if the numbers are correct, the estate is out of financial trouble. And, that is a good thing for the family –especially for his children.
I will hold my opinion of Joseph, out of respect for the family. But bless them all. Espcially the children.

Wow! I absolutely love Janet Jackson! I always have. I used to try to dress like her…I even had the earring with the key on it!! LOL!! This interview was great and I can’t believe its taken this long for her to see how BEAUTIFUL she is!!!!
