November 12, 2009 New Music: Mariah Carey – 100 Percent + X-Factor Performance
“100 Percent” was supposed to serve as the lead single for the movie Precious, but it was later replaced with a Mary J. Blige song due to the fact that director Lee Daniels wanted to focus on Mariah’s acting and not her voice. A snippet of the song leaked earlier, but now we have the full version.

anyone taken notice that aside from lady gaga and taylor swift the other girls are not doin’ good at all? mariah has 3 singles that are’nt takin off…mary j’ has a 3rd single and her album has been pushed back…alicia is nowhere near the top 10 yet…and rihanna’s kinda in transit with all 3 singles out..what’s happnin to our girls? just kinda observin’…

Jen look @ Billboard and check out there is an artical that mentions what geri is saying.. Mariah’s first two singles have bombed at radio and the album is her worst performing since Glitter.. Not shure whats going on but maybe they need to look at a new single as there are lots of great tracks on the CD?

^^^^ LMAO at you saying Obsessed bombing at radio. It was a top 10 hit on the Hot 100, and she actually got more radio play on all formats than any of her singles since We Belong Together. Of course, could you see IWKWLI playin on radio? Thats why MC wanted H.A.T.E.U as the 2nd single.
Anyway, I love love LOVE this song! SOOOOOOOO much better than Mary’s song and wouldve made a better theme. Actually wouldve been a better closer for Memoirs than IWKWLI

geri16 you are so wrong. Mariahs first single Obsessed is her 12th platinum single, so it did very well. IWKWLI has actually been a top 10 adult contemporary song for weeks now. So its getting play with no video. Some of her fans complained they wanted A/C songs and she gave them one. IWKWLI has also become an international hit, so thats saying something. HATE U has just been released, with a video coming soon, so hopefully it will do well. The problem is IDJ should have included 100% on Memoirs. Its good music so it fits and its better than most of the Dream/Tricky mess anyway. Maybe their little Dream experiment was a nightmare even though MC made the most of it.

After reading over most people’s comments, I think everyone has really Valid points. Mariah Carey’s singles aren’t doing that well. Her Album debuted at number 4 on the Billboard 200 Charts, yet it was number 1 on the R&B/Hip Hop Charts. “Obsessed” peaked at number 9 on the Hot 100 Charts, but pretty much trailed to number 11 more often. I don’t know what’s taken so long for her to release the two videos fo ” I wanna Know What Love Is” and “H.A.T.E.U.” Regardless, she is still an amazing talent after all these years. “Precious” seems to be ocuppying her most of Mimi’s time these days, but it kind of has affected her Music.

mariah’s performance in x-factor is super great!!she rested her voice tht’s why she performed very well! by the way the 100% is great too..she’s stunning!!hope she add this song in memoirs album pls pls pls pls mariah…
