November 2, 2009 Hate It or Love It? Alexander McQueen

Alexander McQueen presented his Spring 2010 collection during Fashion Week last month where some of his models wore these Python “Armadillo” heels. The shoes measure at a whopping 12 inches tall! I’m surprised those models didn’t fall while walking down the runway. Love muffins, what do you think of McQueen’s sky high heels?
Do you hate it or love it?

Hate it. They one look like a foot sore. Where are your feet going to go. I predict extreme falls and broken ankles from these contraptions. Two, I think the design is too out there for just regular wear. I understand fashion on the runways are suppose to be out there and chic, but they will also have to be wearable for the clients. This is not it. Two thumbs down honey.

It’s just sad when designers have run out of innovative and new ideas they just go for shock value. These shoes are hideous and they look uncomfortable as hell. Major FAIL for Alexander McQueen.

um… i don’t even know what to think, other than i bet flats (or reg heels) are going to be back in for fall 2010. usually, when trends get this exaggerated, it’s b/c they’re on the way out. i don’t think they’re cute by themselves, but everything looks different when styled up, etc.

What in the Sam Hill Tarnation! OMG!!! So not neccesary! I think people feel they need to go to the extreme for fashion notability. You’ll be noticed for sure… as the designer who sent the most models to the hospital for broken backs, legs, and ankles. So doing the most.

I LOVE ALEXANDER McQUEEN! His fashion is not for the timid. So these shoes though a bit wild have to be put in their place. *cracks whip* Your attitude and ensemble must be able to accommodate this look! They are a dominatrix snake skin stlletto and so an edgy person or celebrity with fabulous ensemble to boot (excuse the pun) could work these….if only for one night.

The dresses/looks were PERFECTION. and my personal favourite style of the “Armadillo” heels are the crystalized ones.
