October 22, 2009 Album Preview: Amerie – In Love & War
Amerie’s new album In Love & War is set to hit stores on November 3rd. Her current single “Heard Em’ All” isn’t doing so well on the charts (only peaking at #81 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart) so I’m slightly concerned about the album sales. I’m really upset about this because for a second I thought she had the right promotion but I guess not. She deserves just as much promo as Rihanna (her label mate) if not more. Honestly, this is most likely a solid album but no one will care. I hope alot of people buy the album! Love U Amerie!

After listening to this album…i get a strictly r&b hiphop soul album. LOVE IT!! The production is not really your trendy sounds of the radio but it works and it has a really organic feel. Love it from the snippets but i need to hear full. smoochies!

Sorry folks, but this is about as famous as Amerie is gonna get!
Yeah, she has the right packaging (pretty face, nice body, cute voice), but ppl are just not getting her as an artist. I ADORE her myself and I totally plan on getting this album and adding it to my collection of Amerie albums…. but this is pretty much it for her. I can’t see her going any further than this… I think she should DEFINITELY do some modeling & start acting!
Also, her single choices suck!!!!!

This album is obviously an Amerie album. She stays true to her sound. I like it.

Amerie needs to head to Europe where she will be appreciated and do several house mixes. I like Heard Em All, but the video is all wrong for her image. However, there is hope if a remix is done with a credible reggae artist. I wish I could’ve done the treatment for the Heard Em All video.
Beautiful woman, not enough promotion. Personally, I’m tired of Rihanna & Beyawnce, there are other talented women in the industry.

sounds like a very solid album¡¡ I do agree that she deserves as much promotion as rihanna ,,rihanna its just an overhyped act ,,the girl doesn´t have real talent ,,I hope this time Amerie can reach more people than before shes pretty ,but more important shes talented ,,can wait for LOVE AND WAR ,for sure I will buy it¡¡

I love Amerie, Rihanna and Beyonce. I don’t think putting down the other two is going to help amerie any. ALL 3 OF THEM ARE very talented women and instead of putting them down we should be promoting all three of them. Because they are trying to represent in a world where minorities aren’t dominant. Each one is doing there thing and all three of them have there own unique sound. The Problem with Amerie is it seems that she isn’t putting her own self out there like that, because if It was my Album you would see me everywhere. I would be on this show, that show performing on almost every award show possible. I don’t even see her on award shows performing. and it is so sad because Amerie is DEFINETLY TALENTED. and deserves a lot more credit. Exspecially because she is the total package Exotic beauty, Amazin body, beautiful voice, great dancer, and she is also highly inteligent. I only have good things to say for all three of these girls. All three definetly work hard. I am just sad that Amerie is not up there with the other 2 bombshells, but you never know this album maybe her big break IF EVERYONE GOES IN BUY A COPY THEN SHE WILL do GREAT!!! THAT IS THE KEY!!! SO INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING PROMOTE FOR HER. BUY A COPY FOR YOURSELF FRIENDS AND FAMILY. THAT WILL SHOW WHY SHE DESERVES TO BE ON TOP. That what I am doing to help out.
