Love muffins, my friend Steph Jones has giving us an exclusive first listen to his highly anticipated mixtape entitled Gravity. Although it isn’t a major label release, it is still a major release because it’s his first! The mixtape, or “Lifetape,” features artists/production from Sean & Kadis, John John Robinson, The Co Stars, Audio Push, and many other talented producers. Just because a guy is open minded enough to be exactly who he wants to be and not have to put on the “thug” ignorant close minded act doesn’t mean he’s gay. Because TRUST me most of the men who think are straight have probably been with more men than you have.
I think you should know the person you’re talking about before you try to put out hate towards them. If you knew about Steph you would know how loving of a person he is. How comfortable in his own skin he is. He has done No H8 work, and has stated MANY times how he’s perfectly fine with gay people. For someone who is THAT open minded I’m sure he’d have NO problem coming out if he was in fact gay, and would still have the amazing FAN base that he has now. You don’t have to love him, but to come for him in that way when you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about just makes you seem very close minded and ignorant…and for that I feel sorry for you.

Here’s what I have to say,
Love Steph! I’m a fan. Love his music. He’s refreshing. More people in the industry should be like him. He’s different and eclectic. Sasha you went way overboard. Even IF that’s how you felt about Steph. let him have some time to shine. This is a big deal for him. Why you felt the need to address his sexuality or whatever is beyond me. That’s not what’s important here.
I have this to say about the artwork though.I like the concept. BUT because of the colors it makes Steph look like scrooge… Please ask him to change the color of the music notes. it clashes. The red orb would look better as a bright yellow/white. Background would have looked better as a gradient from dark blue to light blue. He did a good job, it’s the colors that don’t mix.
Love you Steph, but the notes look like a tree and the world an ornament.

Steph is a breath of fresh air in this music industry….I love that fact that he doesn’t sound or look like anyone out…he can sing, write, he looks damn good, and his music is AMAZING. Im sooooo lookng foward to his LifeTape….everything I heard so far is GREAT….I see ya Steph. Great Job!

I’m really glad and have been anticipating Steph’s Lifetape and can’t wait to hear it in entirety. The music scene needs more diversity and Steph has the perfect blend of EVERY genre on it. His fans have been patiently waiting on this so I’m pretty sure he’s gonna get ALOT of positive feedback on it.
@Sasha I hope that you overcome whatever demons you tussling with cause you need help. On that note, Ppl check out the man’s music cause once you do you’ll become an instant fan of his for all times!!

Y’all went in on Sasha, so I’m going to leave her alone. The highlight here is Steph Jones. He is an eclectic artist. The problem is that people have become brainwashed as to what singers and rappers should look like, so when someone enters with his or her own personality, style and flavor, people do not know how to act. I so appreciate those who do music as art and who clearly love it and aren’t try to be anyone but the person God created him or her to be. With that, I am ready to hear this album and I wish Steph Jones the best.

More “e-ballers” hide behind a cpu screen and display ignorance for people to get riled up. To talk about any of you would acknowledge you exist and we all know that’s not true. So to the people running from themselves and chasing to derail real people from their course in life: God will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse. He warns to not touch his anointed. There’s nothing I can say besides “I love you more” that karma won’t take care of sooner than later. Its is much better to sit and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
Steph, I hope you know that even if you weren’t releasing a mixtape today, people would still be ignorant. So don’t take it personal. Its been a long time coming and from what I recall (losing the backpack) I thought all the music was lost. So its a blessing that we’re able to hear what’s been cooking in that brain of yours. Keep doing what you’re doing. Visually, you’re also stepping your game up so I can’t wait to see more artwork/videos and a live stage show.
Gotta wait to download the lifetape,but, I will. I’ve heard “Up” and a few other songs I love it.

Steph Jones is one of B’s favorites and that’s fine. People can be critical. Remember B wasn’t always so bubbly and cheerful when he started the site. He was a lot like Perez Hilton so I don’t see what the fuss is about what Sacha said and to be honest Steph is rather tired. His time has come the music industry doesn’t usually allow fourth and fifth chances to make a break.
