October 7, 2009 New Music: Jennifer Lopez (Lola) ft. Pitbull – Fresh Out The Oven
Jennifer Lopez is returning to the music scene after the dismal sales of her last album, Brave. This time Jenny is not playing around! It seems as though she’s hopping on the ‘alter ego’ craze by releasing this under the name “Lola”. “Fresh Out The Oven” was produced by The Neptunes and it’s straight fire! Pharrell took it back to his roots and laced us with old-school Neptunes production that compliments Jennifer’s (or Lola’s) weak vocals quite nicely. Pitbull’s feature is a nice touch as well. The song is believed to be the lead from her upcoming project which features production from Jim Jonsin, Stargate, Rock City, Danja, Red One, and Darkchild.

Hmmmmm, I don’t understand why everyone is so hyped up about this song. It’s ain’t nothin special. It’s too laid back. I don’t like it. I wish she would have released What Is Love as her new single! That’s some good music right there

My initial impression? Lame. I think if I hear it enough times it may grow on me, but I think the vocals and the lyrics are really weak. Having Pitbull on the track doesn’t help matters either.

Lame. I don’t know why Jennifer Lopez insists on making music when it’s obvious that no one cares. Her last couple albums tanked, what more does she need?? She’s using every cliché in the book: teaming up with the hottest acts and producers, using an alter ego… Epic fail. Nothing she does is ever fresh or new. She’s trying to be Beyoncé but Beyoncé has more talent in her little finger than Jen does in her entire body. NEXT!

This is not singing. This is her acting like she can sing. Seriously.
I like the fact that she can hire talented producers and beat-makers, but she needs to give it a rest. Or stick to whispering the whole track. This will be good in the club, for when everyone is drunk and don’t really care.
My vote: HELL NO!
Ouch.

I’m so disappointed. I was really cheering for J.Lo to make a comeback, but instead we got the hot mess she named Lola. Her outfit at the VMA’s was an omen to the rest of her career. Good luck with the movies J.Lo.

This song definitely has swag. I like it even though she doesn’t have the BEST voice in the world. She is definitely doing a good job with the comeback.

Poor thing, anything to get back into the limelight. Miss thang knows her voice is rail thin. As once reviewed about the fab Josephine Baker in her time, “she sounds like a canary that’s in a birdcage that’s too big for her voice.”

This is GARBAGE. I’ve actually given it a few listens and I can’t get into it. The beat is madness, and I love it but “Lola” doesn’t help the track with her vocals at all. The whole alter ego madness should’ve ended when Beyonce did it. “Lola” definately stole ideas from “Sasha” with the whole Whoislola.com and the Whoissashafierce.com mess. J.Lo should honestly stick to what she does best, and that is, being J.Lo. Not Lola, a fake imitated version of Sasha, just J.Lo.

I don’t care what everybody says about her. She rocks! She may not have a voice like Mariah Carey, but I LOVE her style, her music, her dancing, her videos… And I love when she sings with rappers. it’s my favorite kind of music.

I really want to like it but I dont know if I can! And is it just me or does Pitbull sound like a mix of DMX and Ja Rule? Lets put this one back in the oven!
