Love muffins, I have some heartbreaking news. According to multiple sources, AJ, the fiancée of Kandi Burruss was brutally beaten to death Friday evening during a fight outside of club Body Tap in Atlanta. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he passed away from his injuries. No additional information is available at this time. Police don’t know what prompted the fight and no arrests have been made. Please keep his family and friends in your prayers.

I am a lost for words. It’s pretty sad, but the same ole story. I’m tired of hearing about the violence. I’m tired of families crying for unnecessary deaths. I’m tired of our number decreasing every single day. … I send out blessing and strength to the families involved. I have a new found respect for Miss Kandi-before this incident. I am so sad for Kandi, BUT… This is what you have to look at… Perhaps her mother was right all along. What is he doing up in a strip club? If we tell Plaxico Burress – “you shouldn’t be up in clubs with a gun – when you have a family at home…” AJ has SIX kids! – that we know about. This is a terrible story, but maybe – in the long run – this is what god intended and what is best for Kandi.

I typically don’t comment on other peoples post, but Genevag u r wrong for saying Kandi’s mother should feel guilty. Ms. Joyce did not have anything to do with the murder of AJ. What you have to u/s is that this man has a lot of children, baby mamas, and does not want her daughter to ruin her life behind mess. Ms. Joyce is looking out for the best interest of her child. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t neccassarily agree with her mother’s actions towards AJ b/c at the end of the day Kandi is grown. However, mothers can sometimes see things that others can’t.
So Ms. Joyce if you are reading this, don’t you apologize one min for wanting to protect your baby girl. She’s going to need u more than ever now. Just be there for her.

When I first got the news I couldn’t believe what I was reading…this really saddens me. My prayers go out to Kandi I understand her pain. My cousin and I were just saying how sweet ,nice,and patient Kandi is. There are now words to comfort you at this point but Kandi ask God for strength to make it one more day every day and the rough and hard pain will eventually subside. idk if you watch the show — or b.scott’s show for that matter — but kandi has said that AJ was looking into strip club ownership as his next business venture.
in fact, i think b. asked in his interview w/ kandi how AJ could own a strip club despite having daughters, so i know she’s addressed it recently.
anyway, the AJC had, as part of their story, that he was part owner of body tap and THAT’S why he was there that night: working. now, you can have your opinions about someone who chooses to own and/or work at a strip club, but he wasn’t just up in the club making it rain or anything.

But… how? A week or two ago when you interviewed her she was so happy, she was talking about how she fell in love with him, with how she was grateful on why he didn’t tell her he had 6 kids, cause if that were to happen she wouldn’t be able to get to know him better at first.

U and your family are in my thoughts, heart and prayers. I know excatly what you are feeling, I lost the love of my life Feb 24, 2007. He was shot 5 times at a club named “Baby Dolls” and someone shot and killed the 2 men that shot my “GOOBIE”. I loved him more than life and I will miss him everyday he was a great friend, lover and father. I still think of him everyday but, it has gotten alot better I don’t wake up in a pillow full of tears anymore or when our favorite song come on..Take it 1 day at time and always remember what you had with him and cherish those moments cause a moment is how long we have in this world..

Seeing Kandi on the Real Housewives of at Atlanta made me feel that much closer to her as a fan. She was some one also in real life with out the fame and fortune that I would like to have had as a true good friend in my life. I take Kandi loss very personal. I cried unexpectedly. On the show inspite of the drama you can see the interaction with her daughter and A.J. On the show you can see A.J’s respect and love for Kandi as well no matter who was against there relationship! That says a lot to me. I send positive energy to Kandi. I hope that she can see through everything she is going through and know there is a lesson that the most high is teaching her in this process.

OMG….You guys have nooo clue what happened that night!! He got caught with the owners girl in the office! Good man??? I cant say! Not my place too. But he obviously wasnt going to be a good husband!!! The violence does need to stop but keep it in your pants and in your own home!!!
