the snippets sound great. I look forward to Impossible and Angels Cry I love the reprises and interludes. Mariah is doing it again.

Wow. She’s correct about what she’s been saying about this album…..should be interesting. Its impossible to judge songs by 30 seconds, but so far its sounding hot. I bet she’s hiding the higher register notes of the song, cuz right now its sounding very mellow – but I’m excited either way. I think people are going to be feeling the direction of this album. It sounds diverse in a Mariah way that she hasnt in a minute – writing wise. Cant wait!

Tracks 4 thru 11, blatantly The Dream is saturating this whole project :/ When I listen to Mariah I want to hear MARIAH…not Mariah doing Dream-jacking smh. Still like a bunch of these snippets. I need to hear her nuances to round it out…30 secs is such a teaser. Love her though.

Some of the songs are cool. but the CD sounds one note to me. Which is what happens when you go with one producer and songwriter to do majority of your album.

I’m going to have to wait to hear the full album. If I was to go on the snippets i don’t think it would be fair because they don’t leve me with much wanting.

Ok well I love me some MC she is the greatest singer at least in my lifetime anyway.
But as much as it pains me to say the songs all follow a similar pattern..boom boom (finger snap)click!!.repeat boom boom click in the background to every song. H.A.T.E.U sounds great and its so hard to judge from clips as I didn’t think Emancipation was gonna be good and I was very wrong. I think this is Mariah at her slow jam stage in her life and if you love slow jam Mariah you will love this. I want this CD as i DO LIKE IT and love all her Albums I just think this one will grow instead of being instant WOW factor like the Butterfly album was.

i knew this would happen once she said the dream would be producing the whole album. it sounds like his crap, both his albums sound like one 45 minute song. this isnt any different. i need to peep the wyhole thing but she fosh made a mistake by depending on just the dream. no variation. bleh

Yeah I agree with BoRED. The snippets don’t really impress me and they leave me wanting a little more given that it’s Mariah! Also, the cd does sound a bit overproduced by The Dream and Tricky Stewart, which is not really a good thing in my opinion… We’ll see.

I am so excited about this album. I love what I hear so far. Mariah and Dream have great chemistry and his production presecence on the majority of the album gives it a comprehensiveness in which the songs flow into eachother. Also, from the information Mariah has given about the songs and the previews I can tell alot of the content is very personal ala Butterfly so thats great. Particularly, Up Out My Face- that has got to be a single, it just grabs you, makes you dance and says anthem all over it- Up Out My Face Boy! Yes! Go Mimi!

I wish she had done/kept at least one song with Jermaine Dupri and I too was interested in the Timbaland production. I think that’s what helped The Emancipation of Mimi be so strong – a little JD, a little Kanye, a little Neptunes, all kinds of different producers. I love Mariah and will buy Mariah, but I’m hoping she re-releases this material later in the year with more content.

Dream is weak producer with mediocre lyrics. Love Mariah and will support, but ditch the Dream. He needs no more than one song maximum on an MC project and only for fun or comic relief. His CD’s suck, so he is not competent enough to helm an MC project. Variety is the spice of life and MC has that down pat, please no more one note hacks. I hope she takes time to write and produce her own material next time around. I hope she takes a long rest after Memoirs. Maybe Dream will mature his writing style.

the snippets are really exciting im so ready fro this album im a huge mariah STAN but the song that just grabs me is the angels cry interlude. WHTINEY CANT DO THAT !!!!! Im sorry but its true mariah really sounds like she has a n angel stuck in her throat and for her to beautifuly emulate vocally what angels sound like when there cryin only further proves how angelic her gift is there no on in the game right now that cna even come for that beyondgay , kisha cole, mary j, monica , keri hilson, ashanti, can even come for that!!!! I haven’t heard the snippets…. I do look fwd to hearing the album in full tho. But I don’t understand WHY did she just work with the Dream & Tricky for the ENTIRE album…. doesn’t sound smart to me!

FROM THE MOUTH OF BABES….
So I was listening to the snippets, and my little brother(he’s 13 I’m 24) comes in the room. He sits at the foot of my bed like he always does, and he hears the songs as I listen. He looks up and asks me “Who’s that? Sounds like the Dream” I said “Mariah Carey” His eyes widen and then he says “Wow. Why does she sound like a robot”
………. In her cause to stay relevant she’s become totally irrelevant.
I’ll admit a few tracks sound good but nothing thats making WANT to buy the album. Im seriously gonna have to download this first to make sure its worth my $9.99
