September 9, 2009 Ellen DeGeneres Joins American Idol!
I didn’t think I could ever be satisfied with a replacment judge after Paula Abdul’s untimely departure from American Idol, but I can’t help but be excited to share with you the news that Ellen DeGeneres is going to be the 4th judge on this season of American Idol!
Ellen had nothing but great things to say about her new gig:
“I’m thrilled to be the new judge on American Idol. I’ve watched since the beginning, and I’ve always been a huge fan. So getting this job is a dream come true, and think of all the money I’ll save from not having to text my vote.”
Other guest judges during Season 9 auditions include Victoria Beckham, Mary J. Blige, Kristin Chenoweth, Joe Jonas, Neil Patrick Harris, Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry, and Shania Twain. I love Ellen! She is going to bring a light hearted vibe to the show. I am going to start watching it again just for Ellen! LOL

I didn’t enjoy seeing her judging the first time. She was mostly talking about herself and making jokes than actually adding a valuable opinion. The only thing she said was, “You were great”. I don’t need a “yes man” Paula part II on the show. It just makes for uninteresting TV. She isn’t in the music industry. She can barely dance on beat so what is she adding…..a comedic element. I don’t watch the show to laugh. Think I will just DVR the show and fast foward through anything she has to say….. She will become the Lil MaMa to ANBDC. WACK! LOL!
