August 20, 2009 Music Video: Jay-Z ft. Rihanna & Kanye – Run This Town
The long awaited video for Jay-Z’s “Run This Town” premiered overnight. I’m not quite sure how I feel about the video just yet. I feel like I keep waiting for something big to happen, but all I’m getting is a bunch of performance shots of the gang in anticipation. The song has grown on me, but I may need to watch the video a few more times for me to actually like it the way I want to. Visually, I think the video looks amazing, but conceptually, I was hoping for something more…epic. Rihanna looks stunning as usual and it’s nice to see her working again.

This song is hot!
At 29, I rarely see a video that impresses me. This video is dark and moody which is nice compared to the money cash hoes theme of most rap videos. Rihannas brand is solidly beautiful edgey and chic- she sells it well.
If I want a concept – I’ll read a book or watch a movie

yea. totally agree. it is absolutely lacking conceptually. they could have been running around and stuff in the video, with an epic storyline going on they could have done a lot more with this

Ok, not nice..but honest, I’m so so so so tired of the Ms.Dolphin Forhead Rhianna…her voice is less impressive than a junior high chorus drop out! I love the Jay-Z part and the video is cool, but she is brings nothing!

Boring, looking like Thunderdome and the move 300! Who cares with all this dark drama and no substance. Aint no beat, RhiRhi is screaming and too over the top. Jay is just Joe camel with a hood on and Why is Kanye still rapping? NEXT!!! LOL

MTV has had a heavy on going rotation of this video since it premierd thurs. and i Love it…Rihanna Looks Great!!!! Jay-z amizing as always but Kanye…Umm NO!!!! Dnt like him or his verse in this song..That “No Homo” Shitt aint Cute at all!!!!
