August 19, 2009 Jam It? Or Slam It? Omarion – Get It In (First Single)
UPDATE: Rumor has it that Omarion has been dropped from Young Money after leaking his own record. Damn.
After recently signing to Lil Wayne’s Young Money label, Omarion is ready to drop his first album with his new label home. “Get It In” is supposedly the first single from his upcoming album and it features Lil Wayne. The beat knocks, but Omarion’s flow throws me off. He should stick to singing because this whole attempt at rapping isn’t working for me. Even though he’s not the most talented singer, in my opinion his singing sounds a hell of a lot better than this. I will say that it leaves me curious as to what direction he’s going in with this next project.
Love muffins, do we jam it? Or slam it?

It’s not that bad, but I don’t really like it, and the beat sound like Mario “Breakup” well one of the beats. It’s really simple, I guess…

That beat is ridin hard… but Omarion needs not rap… and why does every rapper who gets on a song with Wayne try to mimick Wayne’s flow? I just don’t understand…

It’s not bad and he”s trying something new so I won’t knock him for trying to switch up his style. This song doesn’t knock out his competition though which is Break Up by Mario. Omarion gotta come better. Its a nice album or leak track though.

He trying too hard to be something he’s not. He’s not “gangsta” so he should really stop. But I guess that’s what happens when a R&B singer is signed to a “rap label”.

I love Omarion but this sound so unprofessional. It sounds cheap. Maybe if I hear it in the club it would be different.

All of Young Money’s artist sound like Wayne. Drake sounds like Wayne and this Omarion track is very Wayneish. Omarion is done. It’s official.

I LOVE IT!!!
And I’m far from a Omarion stan, but I really like the way his voice rides the beat. I think he sounds better in the lower register than in his normal voice. He knows he needs to switch it up and he did a good job. I bet all the naysayers will start to like it if it starts to get radio play. Its a hot song!!!

I didn’t think Omarion had it in him. I thought he was too soft.
But he’s actually not that bad.
P.s. Lil Wayne’s verse was hottttt! Loooooove him!

OKAY…i’m up in arms about this one. I like it, but then again I don’t. Let me explain. I don’t like Omarion. Once I heard him perform live on 106&Park, I was not a fan. His singing was atrocious, not to mention the infamous braids. However, I do like the gritty sound of his voice and of course I love Lil’ Wayne. Anything he does gets a stamp of approval. So, I guess my disdain for the artist is taking away some of my appreciation of the track. Sorry.

PERFECT SINGLE, YES IT IS! I’M A DANCER AND I KNOW SOME GOOD SHIT WHEN I HEAR IT. FOR HIS TYPE OF VOICE THIS IS ANOTHER GOOD WAY TO USE IT. FOR THE TYPE OF TRACK HIS PRESENTATION WAS ON POINT.
THIS ALBUM I WILL BUY OUT OF THE STORE! I’M HAPPY HE’S BACK LOVE THE NEW LOOK…..SEXY AS ALWAYS IN MY BOOK!!!!!
