Mariah Carey’s performance of “Obsessed” for the results show of America’s Got Talent aired on on NBC last night! As you all know I love myself some Mimi so I’m going to spare you the details about how much I love her but I will however highlight that she’s literally glowing with happiness. Whatever Nick is doing, it’s obviously working! In other Mariah news, “Obsessed” rises to #14 on Billboard’s Hot 100. Mariah Carey makes her 29th appearance on the Pop Songs/Mainstream Top 40 radio chart as “Obsessed” debuts at No. 39. The arrival extends her lead for the most overall chart entries in the tally’s nearly 17-year history. Go Mimi!

Loved her vocals on the performance. I do have a few nitpicks though. Her wardrobe wasn’t working for me. I could’ve taken the top if she had on different bottoms. The whole clothes ensemble looked like it was from the $10 store but luckily I like her for her music and not her clothers. The sheen from the shirt was kinda distracting and there was too much strobe lighting. Loved her shoes, loved she was lively and moved about more so than in the past. Most of all I loved the interaction with her and Nick and his expression when she grabbed his butt was priceless. Actually she lit up the most once he hit the stage.
Love and marriage seems to be just what the Dr, ordered for Mrs. Carey-Cannon. And Nick is just as enamored, which is all the better.

Way to go, Mimi. If you know you’re not a dancer, stand still as much as possible. Not many people sound EXACTLY like they did in the studio when they get up on stage. But you still do a good job. The shoes are working for you and at first I raised an eyebrow at you and Nick’s marriage, but the two of you are so adorable together. It’s good to see two people in love and it’s good to have you back.

AWw mariah did her thing. I love that she tried to dance and move around more. Loving that Debbie Allen is choreographng her show. With more rehearsal this performance may be flawless. That song is too difficult to sing live anyway with all her vocal layers and the autotune on the record. That was hot live performance. she just knocking the dust off for Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. The love nad interaction with MC and NIck was priceless. I am so happy for her.

To all the fools saying this was a “boring” performance… what more do you need? I thought it was HOT she looked hot, the sound was right on, the mid tone in her voice did NOT sound burned out at all it sounded refreshed, and I think this was awesome.

yea..SHE DID WONDERFUL..the cam fan recorded version has better sound tho..because when the aired version came on, extra sounds were added making it a little harder to hear her..HATERS STOP HATING..she did her thing, LOOKED GEORGEOUS! i hope she continues to have more success.

clearly we have to dumb ass haters….. cause 1 she moved around the stage her ass cant dance but it fit with the song….. vocals was good specially the (decorations) xtra vocals she did the high notes fit well and with no auto tune song was still good….. performance was far from boring it was actually nice to see her finally perform this song live tho from the studio version it would be hard for her to do this song live but she pulled of great…. tho i think they shud have turned down the volume on the backup singers tho but SHE WAS GREAT….

That is the best I have heard Mariah sound in a long time. But, I have never seen her that animated ever…, Nick has definetly put a smile on her face and joy in her heart…. and when the music is said and done; Love is all that matters. It is nice to see people in love with each other!!!

(Don’t get mad B.Scott when I say this) I think it was horrible, she has no rhythm, and she trying to hard 2 be sexy, she should save the dancing and being sexy for Britney, until Mariah can get a dance teacher(someone like Laurieann Gibson) she shouldn’t move on stage, I mean Beyonce is your true triple threat, she can dance with a mic in her hand, she can sing amazingly, and she looks gorgeous doing it, I think Mariah should take some lessons from Beyonce, and learn how to be a great performer, my best advice to Mariah is to hurry up and release a nice slow song, cause if she doesn’t I feel another Glitter incident happening, and I don’t think I can live through another moment like that, I literally think my heart would stop.

you can’t please people. this is the most clothes Mimi’s had on in a minute. but yet, it still ain’t right. lol. newayz…..to each his/her own.
as for the performance……her background singers were waaaaaaaaaaay too loud. and one of ‘em was really off too. but i guess they’ll work that out over time. i enjoyed the fact that she tried to do a little something as opposed to just standing still. but the fact of the matter is, Mimi’s a singer….and not a performer. we’ve been so spoiled by the infestation of “performers” in the R&B/Pop scene, that we forget there are some people that just SING. they don’t dance to distract you from their lacking vocal skills. they just pick up the mic, and SING. but, it is what it is. the children amongst us, won’t understand.
i loved the interaction between hubby & wife. the chemistry seems legit. i’m happy for ‘em both. and yes Mimi…….grab that azz. Grrrrr!

Everyone knows MAriah can’t dance. She sounded great and she even gave us a little bit of dance steps lol.. I take what I can get when it comes to dancing from MAriah. She even gave us her trade mark high pitch vocals at the end. I thought it was great.

I actually got the oppurtunity to see this live….and I was ready to throw my SHOE on stage because I was like YESSSSSSSS BITCH!!! now THATS how you perform!!
BORING???? Uhhh hello…this is the most moving and excitement she’s done since Heartbreaker days. I thought this performance was straight FIRE. And I agree with someone above who said the song is a difficult live song b/c of all the vocal layers & auto-tune. THATS SO TRUE. And if you strip the song down, then it wouldn’t be as exciting. I admit Trey was throwing it off a bit…and he’s usually really good at blending in. lol. [her male backup singer]

she diddent lipsync…1. THE BACKGROUND SINGERS WERE TOO LOUD 2. the performance was dubbed at some parts for the aired version..she was singing live..so UH PPL CAN SHUT UP ABOUT THE LIP SYNCHING thing..they dubbed it to add extra vocals and other things..but it sort of had this (drowning effect) for her main vocals.

Boring? O please..this is Mariah Carey..she has never ever danced her butt of on stage..her fans know her..this is her style. It’s all about her voice and her notes and she hit on the nail with that performance! Flawless! She sounded eXcellent..espeically towards the ending. I can’t wait to hear the rest of her album. The track is hot and she’s hot and her and Nick are absolutely stunning together..so cuTe!! I’m more pumped about her album than Whitney’s cause so far..nothing has impressed me..at least Obsessed you can get into…and im hearing great things about her other songs…im hyped..come on Sept 15th!!

@TB No, Im not Donatella but I do know clothes quite well and that wasn’t cutting it otherwise I loved everything else and please let’s not bring Rihanna in this she’s a glorified [retty coat anger, ot singing/songwriting talent like Mariah. I’ve seen MC look cuter in just basic jeans and a t shirt which would’ve worked better IMO, but it’s all good.

I am a total Mariah fan. I love her to death, I grew up listening to her and her music in my opinion is still great. As far as her voice goes. She’s not in her 20’s anymore her voices isn’t going to sound exactly the same. If you don’t believe me then listen to Whitney, Celine, and hell even Britney and Beyonce. Their voices don’t sound the same as when they first came out. I would however love to see her do a little movement or something. I wish she would feel the music when she sings. Maybe it’s the heels LOL. I don’t know what it is I just want to see her look more like she enjoys the music. One thing I know for sure. She loves her some Nick. The chemistry between them was real. You could see it was love, and maybe a little bit of something else judging from her grabbing a handful. I love the two of them together.

Oh my….I was a hard core Mariah fan and I even sat through Glitter because I loved her soo much…but what the hell has happened to her she is nowhere near the standard she was at when she did her emancipation of mimi tour…her vocals on that tour were amazing…im at a loss to understand why she can’t produce a decent live performance….the screamin part at the end was the only glimpse of the old mariah that I sin out of the whole performance
