August 5, 2009 Beyoncé & Gaga Lead VMA Nominations!
MTV’s Video Music Awards nominations are in and Beyoncé and Lady Gaga both lead the pack with a whopping 9 nominations a piece. They will go head to head in the “Video of the Year” and “Best Female Video” categories. Other nominees include Britney Spears, Eminem, Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Coldplay (For a full list of nominees, visit the VMA website by clicking here). This year’s show will be hosted by British comedian Russell Brand and will take place September 13th.
That’s not the only thing Beyoncé has to celebrate. Her I AM… tour has just been named the world’s #1 concert attraction on Billboard’s Hot Tour rankings!
After grossing $36 million dollars and having a 97% ticket sell rate (357,074 seats out of a possible 368,210), Bey’s tour ranks among the top 15 grossing tours of the year! She recently ended her four-night residency at the Encore theater in Las Vegas and a DVD of the final performance is slated to hit shelves in November. Go get em’ B!

Beyonce is hands down, undeniably an awesome performer. I’ve seen her once in concert and she was extraordinary. Even my husband said next time that we should get closer seats.

BeYoNcE..hands down. Single Ladies was and still is a phenomenal success!! Lady Gaga..is allllright..but she is no match for Queen B!! That tour…that talent…B..no question. She’ll walk away with at least six or seven.I think….but for sure..video of the year!!
