August 4, 2009 Michael Jackson & Farrah Fawcett Grace Vanity Fair
Vanity Fair will be publishing two covers for its September issue: one featuring Michael Jackson and another featuring Farrah Fawcett, the two pop culture icons who both died on June 25. “Two covers seemed like the sensible thing to do, given the passing of two major American icons on the same day,” editor Graydon Carter said. The Jackson cover features a 1989 Annie Leibovitz photo and the line, “Fallen King.” Fawcett’s cover reads, “Fallen Angel.”

These are both beautiful covers!
Out of all the surgeries and stuff that Michael Jackson had done to himself, the photo above from his “Bad” period is when he looked his altered-self best! Loved the hair, the nose was great and not threatening to fall off, the skin was still relatively dark, he just looked great and I wish he had have stopped there with the alterations.
He is missed terribly, but his music and images will live on, I hope, for eternity.

I love the MJ cover. Some days I still wake up hoping that this was some bad dream and he will come back…..but sadly I know it won’t happen.

Great covers!
I dont think that Farah made the same impact as Micheal.
Her image is based on looks.
Micheal’s image is based on music, humanitarian work, music videos, breaking racial barriers and scandal.

I think the MJ cover is great and whoever said it was right, his BAD days when the nose wasnt about to fall off, was his best altered self (aka Puerto Rican MJ) He was tan not too white it was okay lol. LONG LIVE THE KING – and Farrah looks as stunning as she always was on the cover. These two will seriously be missed

i mistunderstood, i thought it was gonna one mag with two coveers you know how they do that 2-sided upside down thing with mags! Oh well they’re gonna do what makes the most money!
