Goapele – Milk & Honey: Goapele is back! Four years after her last album, Change It All, Goapele is getting ready to release her fourth album entitled Milk & Honey. The title track serves as the lead single from the album and it is straight fire! Goapele’s voice floats over raging synths that almost become trance-like as the song progresses. I’m not sure how high the single will go chart-wise, but it’s definitely making it’s way to the top of my playlist.

Sean Paul – Double Safety Lately: I had almost forgot about Sean Paul and his new album. His single “So Fine” doesn’t to much for me and his style is becoming repetitive. This however, is something a little different. It’s not often we hear Sean Paul on a mid-tempo track, but I’m glad we get to because this song is hot! It has a nice, relaxed, vibe and it’s something that I see myself playing while I’m relaxing by the pool or cruising around. Imperial Blaze hits stores August 18th!

Kid Sister – Right Hand Hi: After over a year of pushbacks and delays, Kid Sister’s debut album, Ultraviolet (originally titled Dream Date) has an official release date of October 9th. Along with the new title comes a new official lead single. “Right Hand Hi” is an uptempo house/hip-hop club banger that I’m sure will get a bunch of plays in both dance and hip-hop circuits. She does a really great job of bringing house music and hip-hop together in such a way that it all blends together quite smoothly.

Christina Milian ft. The Dream – Chameleon: I’ve been sitting on this track for about a week or so trying to figure out exactly how I feel about it. After a few listens I’ve decided that I love it While it doesn’t sound finished, C. Milli’s sexy delivery over The Dream’s middle eastern inspired beat works very well. Between this and “Zipper”, I think Christina is holding out on us. Elope is shaping up to be a really good album. I just hope I’m not disappointed.

  • Nice
and damn Denver you always have the music… ^_^

  • MILK AND HONEY!! Thank you!! I’m so glad she’s back!

  • not feeling any of these…

  • didn’t care for any

  • Wow I love all this…even Christina’s!!

Goapele is the best kept secret out there,

Sean Paul’s mid-tempo tracks are always great, Hes got a great voice.

Kid Sister is always giving me LIFE. I be breakin it down to ll her leaked tracks n this is no different.

N I was ready to disregard C. Mili’s track, but its very catchy. Dream has a knack for that!

  • Chameleon sounds different and unique. I agree that it doesnt sound finished. It would sound great with some bass and more hard pumping beats.

  • Goapele is the only 1 speaking to me right now. Christina….. SMH poor girl. that mess is a waste of her talent. all that bleach in her hair got her trippin

  • Is it bad to say that the only song I like on here today is Kid Sister. C Mili’s is cute but I liked Zipper a lot better. I’m going to wait til they finish this song and I hope they do. Goapele never really did anything for me.

  • i really like chameleon! so shocked right now, but i do… i like kid sister’s song too, and goapele is ok for me. but sean paul: no ma’am.

  • Goapele hands down..finally some music with some substance!!! Allah be praised…a track that you won’t regret buying in a month. She’s so awesome, I will def. be supporting her new project.

  • didnt like any of these songs

  • I love every song but I’m in love with Goapele’s single. Its on repeat.

  • i like goapele and C milian..damn seems like everyone hates the song..its tight LYRICALLY!

  • Milk & Honey is HOTTTTTTTTT!!!!!

Kid SIster is catchy, not bad.

CMilli’s song is nice, but there was TOO MUCH added to it……… all the hay ho sh*t in the background was completely UNNECESSARY!!!!!!!! Other than that, not a bad track.

  • I love ALL of these songs. They are light etherial and make this late summer period very laid back and sexy, as it should be.

I honestly think people are expecting too much from Christina Milian with this new album. As a music lover, I suggest the next time you are about to listen to a new song, don’t expect anything, let the sounds do all the talking. “Chameleon” is a simple percussive and vocally driven song, quite risque for a singer who doesn’t have a powerful voice. It’s sexy and unique, like Milian. Kudos to her and the production team.

  • My fave out of the bunch has to be Chameleon. I love the overall simplicity. I like that it doesn’t need a big throbbing base and all kinds of synthetic audio bites, it doesn’t need any. It’s unique, I love the lyrics and even that her voice isn’t very powerful or overpowering. Wouldn’t it annoy you if Xtina or Beyonce did it? Their voices would be too much but Christina Millian’s is just so suited to this. I love it – it’s catchy, different, foreign, wonderful.
My second favourite is Milk & Honey.
Not really loving Kid Sister or Sean Paul.

    Love you B,
    Lulu

  • YES GOAPELE IS BACK…THAT’S HOT!!!! I LOVE GOAPELE,SHE’S A TRUE ARTIST. SAD TO SAY THAT GARBAGE DOES BETTER ON THE RADIO,THAN REAL MUSIC AS HERS AND OTHER NEO-SOUL ARTIST.

  • Well Goapeles track off the Honey soundtrack was the only one i ever liked from her, this one is way different, but i can get into this.

Sean Paul is a dear for delivering something laid back, but i have a feeling i am slowly but surely off the seanpaul bandwagon. It’s like hot bowel movement suddenly turned cold somehow.

Chameleon most certainly DOES sound unfinished, but I am always a fan of the slithery dancing like a snake to music, and the arabesque beat got me all windy and thangs!

I have been sleeping on Kid Sister ( i thought it was Kid Sister from a certain Duo on Youtube that is of my persuasion). The European in me is doing some shoulder work to the song, while the American in me is doing the rest! I like it!

  • That was hot! I’m so happy. A lot of times, artists will come back after a long hiatus and put out new stuff. It’ll either be great, so-so, or not worth the wait. After listening to that, I’ll have to check off great. It was fresh, smooth, original-just overall good. I’m hooked on her syrupy-sweet voice, and laid-back melodies. Good job Goapele!
