Do designers donate clothes to celebs knowing they will be walking ads parading everywhere? I’m really curious, cause ANYTHING Rihanna wears is never less than $100 dollars…and that’s the cheap stuff. lol.

Anywhoo, to help with your question: YES, taking the “Celebrity Promotion” route is the BEST Marketing Ploy ever for ANY designer (coming from one). Big Stars get all kinds of free stuff sent to them. It’s not only top notch promotion, the designer hopes they like the item enough to buy more
Once heard Beyonce say she gets about 50 handbags per month…But of course, they pay for their favorites or anything that isn’t offered to them.
BUT again, do you honestly THINK Rihanna can’t afford clothes? C’mon, she’s not only a Multi-Platinum Artist, she’s a spokesmodel CoverGirl AND GUCCI, maybe more (I’m not an obsessed fan of hers).

most of these artist get free clothes, shoes, etc, etc from awesome designers. All these artist have to do and mention the designers name on their track and they’ll get it free.

most of their jewelries are leased, they have to return them. The only thing these artist do is promote the designers goods. Of course these artist get free stuff.. Unlike those that are not rich… If you’re filty rich you’ll get free stuff.
These artist do buy things but most of what they own are gifts from some other rich designer.

I think RiRi gets paid to “street model”. I really do. These designers know she’s the business and she will get ink for wearing stylish clothes. So, they pay her and rocks the clothes for them. Since her new music isn’t coming out till the end of the year, it’s a nice way to make some paper.

The jumpsuit is a no-no. Are designers that uncreative that they have to revisit the 80’s? I remember when the 70’s was big again during the nineties and they brought the bellbottoms back. Designers need to learn to interpret the future and forget doing what’s already been done.

Yes in Beyonce’s “Diva” video, she was basically wearing all gareth pugh stuff (notice the model is wearing the same shoes she wore). so thats probably why, it looks similar.

Well yeah, i do know that Beyonce(and other big celebrities) gets so many free things from designers. she said in an interview, that she gets about 15 new bags a month, straight off the runway. and well, cmon! it is free advertising!
Designer’s send stuff, to Rihanna. Rihanna likes it so much, she decides to wear it out. The paparazzi take photos of her. Those photos are in magazines and blogs everywhere. People looking at the magazine think “wow, i like that jacket!’ and then yeah
