Hey B-Scott,
I think she should have followed the pic above as a better guide. All she really needed was a more sexy shoe, pull the pants down to her ankles and maybe some kind of more structured top.
I love Serena though so it’s still all love!!

I generally feel that a lot of what Serena and her sister, Venus choose to wear seems awkward. Clearly, this outfit is wearing HER…and not very well. Serena has a very athletic body type and I know many women with athletic builds struggle with fashion when it comes to finding clothing that complements their figures.
It would have been more BECOMING for Serena to go with a look that gives more attention to the shape of her hips, neck, and bodice. Pant looks need to be longer and softer, or if cropped a super fem’ stiletto would attract the attention downward. These harem drags are not flattering for her figure at the length pictured here. Serena needs to subtract some of the attention from the shoulders and arms and/or frame them softly. As far as hair, this doesn’t do it for me. She needs softer tresses, flowing or a cascading up do. The earrings bring attention to her square jaw…not the length of her neck.- Neferaten
