People–once and for all Mariah is 40. She was born in 1969 not 1970.
The record company took the year off so she could debut at 19 years old and not 20. You used to could check it on the US Copyright page–the forms that
she sent in in the beginning all had 1969 on them.

Mariah is 40. She was born in March 27th 1969. This was confirmed by people magazine and her high school. Not sure what a diffrence a year makes, she is great at any age.

i’ve loved Mariah since vision of love, this SONG is sad. I’ve dealt with the bad live performances, the bad lipped performances, the lIPPED high notes. Something is wrong with her voice. SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH HER VOICE.

How do you go from the riff’s from IF IT”S OVER to this??? the song is so-so, it lacks a hook worthly of a vocal legend. Her voice is weak and boring in the verses. THE DREAM does ok with his own music, but even Touch My Body was so-so.

Mariah has lost her swag, just like Janet jackson. This song is corny, boring and she AINT singing. WTF???? Mariah Carey is a SINGER. why has she NOT been singing….it’s like watching a person who has been able to see, suddenly they are blind.

Mariah I’m VERY disappointed in you. I’m disappoint that you’d release this garbage like some follower, with the tired autotune, and not be the MARIAH who use to SET the trend vocally.

Mariah is being outdone by Quality music from LESSER TALENTED WOMEN: Rihanna, Beyonce, Amerie. Single Ladies is a HIT…WTF is this?????????

As much as I love Mimi I would give up on her completely if she acts all hoe-ish on this album! She needs to embrace her age and everyones begging her to start dressing mature but classy- like Halle or Michelle Obama do. I’m not saying she has to dress like a granny, but she could be a bit more classy with her image- her dress sense is horrible. I would normally be the last one to say anything bad abour Mariah but I am getting sick of her looking a mess.

Anyway she better bring the heat wth this album, though it seems a bit rushed because her last album was only released a year ago. Hopefully this new album will have a more classic sound, some great slow ballads and a few nice uptempos like Emancipation.

Some of you guys act as though this single cover is going to be the only one she releases. SHE SAID THAT THIS SONG IS A “FUN, SUMMER RECORD.” I think this single cover = “fun, summer record.” This does not mean that the subsequent releases will be the same; on the contrary, the next single is most likely going to be a ballad or mid-tempo, so you can expect a much different single cover.

I love it. I can’t wait to hear “Obsessed”!
