June 2, 2009 Brandy Settles With Children Of Fatal Car Crash + DMX
Brandy has just settled with the children of the woman who died in a car crash she was involved in in 2006. Awatef Aboudihaj’s two children will receive a total of $600,000 ($300,000 each) according to court documents filed in L.A. County Superior Court today. Aboudihaj died after her car was struck by Brandy’s Range Rover near the 405 and 101-freeway intersection.
In other news, eight days after being released from jail, rapper DMX plead guilty to attempted aggravated assault on May 22 after he verbally threatened guards at Tent City back in February while imprisoned there. He is due in court for sentencing on Monday.

I had one of these kind of accidents where two cars had total loss. Nobody was injured but I was judged and punished because I was JUST THERE. I had nothing to do with this thing …
People are talking so much shit. Leave her alone with that, because we know nothing about it. Why should Brandy go to jail, when she isn’t guilty? Don’t you think that she suffered, too? Don’t hate and don’t judge!
If this would have happened to your sister, you would never ever talk like that!
She DID NOT wake up thinking to herself “Oh, I need to kill someone!” Brandy cannot change it and it wasn’t her fault. THESE THINGS happen everyday and just because this happened to Brandy people judge, and people fail!

Before all the haters start leaving ignorant ass comments, it was determined that Brandy wasn’t even at fault for this accident. It’s sad whenever someone loses their life, especially a mother of young children. No amount of money will ever take that pain away, but accidents happen everyday. If this was due to Brandy being under the influence of drugs/alcohol, or on her phone I would agree that she deserves to be punished, but it was proven that neither of these were a factor in the accident. Technically she can fight this ruling if she’s not at fault, but I think this is her way of apologizing to the family. And before people say 600K is not enough, we don’t know what else she’s done for this family behind the scenes.
I just hope the children can find peace and live happy, healthy lives. I also hope Brandy can find her peace and move on with her life.

I swear DMX can’t stay out of trouble. Damn shame, and his wife has the nerve to be on TV giving Irv Gotti’s wife advice when she can’t even get her home life together…SMH. DMX is hopeless as a penny with a hole in it.

Sherriff Joe has it out for DMX, the day Earl got out of Jail he came to church with his whole family and praised God and gave thanks, he’s SERIOUS about getting his life together, he has a lil’ one on the way and he wants to make sure he’s there fully for his family. Sherriff Joe gets his name in the papers every time he arrests him or drags him into court, It’s my opinion that he does it just for show. Not to say he hasn’t committed crimes because he has and stupidly in Maricopa County (AZ) – home of tent city but to me enough is just enough.
