Two debris fields were found – one was 3 miles long. Among wreckage found was an airplane seat, metal debris, an orange float, a drum and an oil spill. The four year old Airbus A330 was carrying 216 passengers – mainly of French and Brazilian nationality. There are believed to be no survivors.
Among the missing: a dancer who performed in Broadway musical Riverdance, and a 26 year-old member of Brazilian’s royal family.
