Monday afternoon in New York City, Sex and The City star Cynthia Nixon attended the kick off for Curel’s “Share the Gift of Caring” campaign benefitting the American Red Cross at The London Hotel. The night before, she announced her engagement at the Love, Peace and Marriage Equality rally, an event to support New York governor David Paterson’s proposed bill legalizing same-sex marriages.
“I don’t really want to get married to get married pretend. I think we’d like to do it in a real, actual, legal way that the state would recognize.” US
How amazing would it be if New York hopped on the bandwagon to legalize same-sex marriages!
