After hearing Eminem’s new song “Bagpipes From Baghdad,” Nick Cannon went off in his blog to defend his wife (and my diva’s) honor! Eminem rapped about his relationship with Mariah, jokingly stated he wanted her back. Once Nick heard his name on the song, it was over for him.
“I thought it was old material that had been dug up from when dude ‘fantasized’ about having a pretend fling with Mariah,” the music television channel reported. “But all of a sudden I hear my name in the verse! My first reaction was like, ‘This is his new sh-t? Wow, that’s too bad.’…I feel sorry for him because he must really be stuck in the past,” Nick says, according to US magazine. “Not only has his music not evolved, but also homeboy is still obsessed with my wife, the same female that wouldn’t let him get to second base from eight years ago…What type of grown…man lies about getting with a chick? Only Slim Lamey! LOL!” Yahoo

I think he handled that very immaturely. I don’t think that needed a response from him at all. He knows he has his woman… there is no need to call people out on the stupid stuff they feel they need to say. And if he really just felt the need to say something… all he had to do was address the statement in a way that simply got the point across that he did not appreciate was said… instead of calling Eminem names and what not.

I personally like Em. I think he does what he does for entertainment. People like it, it sells, so he continues to profit off of it. And regardless of his different crude topics he is an extremely talented individual. Nick Cannon is making himself look like a pissed off child in a candy store who isn’t getting his way. I mean I can picture him sprawled on a floor kicking and screaming. I mean he attacked Kim Kardashian and she laughed at it. She isn’t trying to “get even” If it is ignorance the Nick should know “You can’t kill ignorance with ignorance” In the end he will just look stupid. I think people should learn to really let things go. It’s entertainment. Don’t get all butthurt about it.

This may not have been the best way, but something had to be done. Her people, the press, radio or whoever should have checked Em’s ass years ago when he first started stalking MC. B. why has the media allowed this asshole Em to say the most revulsive things and go unchecked. You knwo he hates on gays too. They give him awards while the women he hates on are left to defend their names. And why is supposedly the best lyrical rapper battling women? That is some punkass biznesss right there. I can understand your muse, but this is some different kind of drugged out hatred.
Are male rappers so in fear of white boy or so deep in his pocket or other socket that they won’t step to him? We know Sh*tty Sense been driving his Miss Daisy Ass round town for years, acting like his pet, but c’mon. This rapper gets celebrated for hating on a woman for 7 years from his freak obsession. SMH. Mariah is a good person, and in fact no woman deserves that treatment. You see how you and the media has treated Chris Brown for his accusations, but this Clown gets away with verbal abuse and drug abuse for years. What is that about? Oh and his fans act like it is just a running joke. That is some stalker Stan mess right there.

Eminem is a has-been, he will never be the same so he needs to fall the F**K back! I’m so tired of these lame a** artist talking side ways about another artist, that is not cool and is not the way hip-hop should be portrayed.
Even though Nick could have turned the other cheek and said nothing but if he didn’t comment on the situation then people would say or think he’s a punk. I think there is nothing wrong with what he said at all. If it was me I would have come back with something way better then Nick comment, so Nick good for you for sticking up for your lady.

Oh and Charlie Murhpy and 50 help him set up the bitchassness. These men are jokes and Fem is a coward plain and simple. Think about it, who has he battled his mom, ex wife, he has dissed a Diva several times, heck even Ja Rule’s weak mess. What does that say? Boy is a coward who plays on sensationalism and hate. Eminem-Ammonium is like a tabloid – Good enough to look at from 2 feet away in the Grocery store but I wouldn’t be caught dead with it.
Nick didn’t respond maturely but he does have an insult-comedy show so Im not sure if he can respond any other way.
Mariah has even allowed herself to be roped into stuff like this in the past but she’s gotten past her ego recently. Maybe she likes Nick defending her in this way.
I didn’t like Nick for Mariah until I realized he wasn’t getting any bad press. I hope he doesnt let Emo-Eminem drag him down.

I think that Nick Cannon shouldn’t have even dignified Eminem’s song with a response. He needs to take a page out of Beyonce’s book. What did Beyonce do when both Etta James and Keri Hilson dissed her? Nothing. And then in about a week, no one was even talking about it anymore. Eminem is just doing this because he is a has-been and the only way he can remain relevant is to talk about Mariah. Nick responding has created the exact publicity that Eminem was hoping for, since his album comes out this Friday.

Hi B. Scott I really enjoy your videos, and i’m in need of another one. I think Nick handled it the way he felt he should. His wife was probably so pissed off after she heard the song..that he responded the way he felt a husband should. I mean look how you handled Lil Bow Wow’s comments about gay people. You went off (which I enjoyed) because you were offended, and pissed off. And that’s exactly what Nick did. He was upset and pissed…He did the right thing. He’s letting Eminem know don’t disrespect my wife…plan and simple. Oh also Eminem is a loser the music he’s making is garbage…he needs to let it go.

Personally, I don’t think he should have said anything because he just put himself on the same level as Em and made himself look immature as well. You know in a few days or weeks, Em will probably try to get on Nick, and it’s just pointless! Eminem thrives on saying outlandish things that cause media frenzies because that is the only way he can sell his music ( ie: him attacking the pop singers and groups when he first came out, and baby mama). Nick just helped him out by responding because now people are going to want to hear what EM is GOING to COME BACK with! Should have just left it alone Nick!

I think Nick was more immature. First of all, for a while Mariah has been denying that her and Em had anything, but I’m sure Em wouldn’t just pull the allegation out of his ass for nothing. Nick wasn’t there. They may have had something. Mariah was crazy too (yall remember that!). So… if he don’t know for 100% sure, he should just stay out of it. #2, Nick pulled the race card… talking about “Black women” being used by White men this and that, when .. Mariah Carey is only 1/4 Black in the first place and JUST start fooling with Black folks in the late 90s. If we recall the beginning of her career… she wasn’t studying Black folks. And another thing, that’s in the past. More recently, I HAVE FOUND THAT BLACK MEN TREAT BLACK WOMEN LIKE @#$!

RAP MUSIC IS ANTI-WOMEN IN GENERAL!!!!! To sit here and worry about what Eminem says would be a waste of time… since he is NO WHERE near as damaging as these other songs. At least he is openly twisted.. so much so, that it’s obviously a joke (that either you get or you dont). But, I’ve heard so many rappers debase women and are serious about what they say and they aren’t joking. One of the LAST rappers we should be worried about is Eminem.
So, when I got rappers (and R&B) all day throwing punchlines at Black women ON THE RADIO, I could care less if Eminem is talking bad about Mariah Carey, who, by the way, usually walks around in damn near no clothes and is an entertainer, putting herself out there for open criticism.

Dani: you are correct rap is anti women in general, but dude has been carrying out a personal vendetta against this woman for years and fans and others take that as gospel. He name checks a peer, just like 50 did to Viveca, that is taking it a step beyond just entertainment. But that is all the more reason why women should not be defending this behavior. Hello Just because people do it and get away with it does not mean that it should be accepted. Hell, men debase women in general in society and it does not make it right and women need to stand their ground. Like B stood his ground on all the hate towards gays, time to stop this mess.
