May 12, 2009 Ciara To Tour With Jay-Z & Britney!
Love muffins, say it ain’t so! Ciara’s latest album, Fantasy Ride, didn’t make as big a splash on the Billboard 200 albums chart as we all had hoped for. Coming in at #3 isn’t bad, but selling less then 81,000 copies isn’t all that great either.
There is some good news to come out of this turbulence…she will be on tour with Beyonce’s main man, Jay-Z! The duo will embark on a 10-city summer tour. The full itinerary has yet to be announced, although a few dates and venues have already been revealed: stops July 3 and 4 at The Pearl at The Palms in Las Vegas, July 10 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut, and July 12 in Atlanta. But if you don’t want to wait until July to see her in concert, all of her European fans have the opportunity to catch her opening for Britney Spears’ hot like fire Circus tour in June. Make that money, girl!

It’s a little sad that Ci Ci didn’t get the number one spot, but I know evil shall not prevail and the angelic Ciara will go on to sales millions of albums worldwide.

A travesty but at least Britneys fans can see what it means to work the stage and give your all. Ciara better pick up some fans.

It is untortunate that cc’s album sold less than 80,000copies but she will make up for that touring with J and Bri. CC really needs new management if she is to at least experience half the success of Beyonce. I like Beyonce and Ciara both but I just feel Ciara is not getting marketed properly. Her career will surly die if she does not change up her management team I mean that’s what happened to Toni Braxton. Please Ciara get on oyur management team and make them work for you (they do work for you) if they can’t meat your terms and conditions then do the Kelly Knowles—FIRE THEM!!!!

I knew it… and for all the naysayers saying “Oh everyone’s album gets leaked and it doesn’t hurt sells”PAY ATTENTION! Why do you think so many artist have a FIT about their stuff being leaked out before its release? Usher had the same problem with his album before “Confessions”, and Missy even made a song addressing people not buying albums and to “COP THAT SH*T!” It’s like registering to vote and then when they day comes you DON’T SHOW UP? WTF! It matters and not to say I have never download tracks, or anything of that nature but I also buy CD’s of artist that I support! We all know Ciara has a lot more TALENT than Britney, but Britney is packing houses so Ciara needs that PLATFORM to maybe BOOST her sales Good album, or not it makes no difference if no one buys it people!

awww but CiCi’s new album aint as good as Evolution, plus the recessions is hitt everbody hard….i dont have 14.99 to but 12 songs? or even 9.99 for itunes.

hahaha, CIARA new cd is WAK (thats y), GOODIES & EVOLUTION were GREAT cds!!! I have NO idea wats goin on wth FANTASY RIDE?!?!?!& these pictures?? is this the album artwork?!?! LORD JESUS HAVE MERCY!!! what is she doin??? this is all soooo wack, J, Britney tour? I dont care, she is done !! SHE GOOD LIVE THO!!, she need her old music tho, this new stuff SUXXX!!!! & I LOVE CIARA!!!! so please dont think I am hating, its just the truth!!!

well truthfully a lot of people had most of the songs on her album before it was released due to leakage and that leakage being promoted by this site and others. And in these economic times i know i don’t spend money on albums. Can’t tell you the last time i actually bought one from the store. I either download free stuff, borrow from a friend or wait till the album gets super discounted. Sometimes me and my friends will all chip in for a few albums then all copy 2 our computers and sell them 2 Amoeba or Raspuitan’s. Sharing is Caring

CiCi should have her OWN show by now. And Fantasy Ride is a good disc. I can tell what went wrong with CiCi’s album & WHY the sales are so low.
1. The pushbacks (I’ve been waiting for this album since early last yr.)
2. The LEAKS (I’ve heard numerous ppl say they are not buying the album becuz they ALREADY feel like they HAVE it!)
3. The concept (Fantasy Ride? Really? It’s not a fantasy ride anymore when more than 50% of ur songs leaked AND ur album cover & artwork looka MESS)
4. I guess the recession could be blamed, but the same ppl who said they aren’t buying CiCi BROUGHT Beyonce and other successfully selling artists.

AMEN@ SPICY! You broke it down and I must admit that majority of what you said I do agree on! Especially the part about people BUYING Beyonce’s album, and then complain about they couldn’t by Cici’s stop faking the front! You didn’t want to buy it because you heard most of it online, and felt like what was the point… and Beyonce had songs all over the net too, but her team made sure they didn’t put those on her recent album! Case in point is this for all the people that want to compare “B” to “C”. Beyonce came from a highly successful and COMMERCIAL group….so before she even went solo she was already a household name ( I mean they had DC dolls for crying out loud!) So it wasn’t a huge leap for her to be a solo success…not to say she doesn’t deserve it because she does! I love some Beyonce as well love muffins! HOWEVER Cici did not have that advantage… she came out as a solo artist from JUMP and has had to really claw and scratch her way to even being somewhat mainstream when competing against so many other R&B female performers including Miss BEYONCE!
So don’t sit up here and try to point fingers saying that she isn’t on the same level as Beyonce when they started at different points, and different spectrum’s of the music industry! Stop comparing our black female artist and tearing them down, saying they are swaggerjacking each other when BOTH have had influences from artist PRIOR to their careers! Fashions come and go, celebrities follow the trends just like you and I… not because they are trying to be like one another but because that is whats HOT and IN! The few of you who claim to be such BEYONCE fans would know that she does not go around tearing down other female artist… in fact she tries to embrace them, so you doing so doesn’t prove you are a fan, but a hypocrite and totally against what she stands for!

You have re-wrote the gospel on this one. Thank you! Ciara is not some vocal diva…not by a long shot. I know middle school chorus girls who could put her to shame, but somehow her management keeps picking singles that are vocal ballads. You can’t prove…what doesn’t exist…Ciara’s voice! People have the nerve to talk trash about Cassie! I rest my case…
