If you look at Ciara go girl video which came out early 2008 and beyonce single ladies video came out late 2008 you will see beyonce is copying ciara. beyonces a better dancer than ciara, ciaras better at street but in terms of feminine choreography beyonce has that down neither are as good as what britney was back in the day tho that girl could move. I agree! This was a very entertaining and polished performance and Ciara has DEFINITELY improved! I wasn’t aware that she had that flexibility!

The style that people are saying she bit off of Beyoncé is actually an influence from Bob Fosse, a musical theater choreographer. But either way, I enjoyed it! For me it’s all about being entertained having fun!

Entertainment has gotten to the point where we’ve pretty much seen it all so bringing back classic styles and incorporating them into more current trends helps to keep things appearing “fresh”. After all, “Everything old is new again.”

CiCi DID HER THING ! No matter what people say she got it going on …. Also what lil singing she did was totally on point for a change. I really only like at the most 5 of the songs off of CiCi`s new album after seeing that I might give it another try. For all you Bey fans I only like 3.5 of the 18 songs on her cd and I have given it so many trys. My thing if Bey is so great at what she does and after all the time she been in the game shouldn`t she be able to give us an album fron begining to finish that we can listen ….my dad she did..her first solo album…that the Bey I want back !

The performance was HOT.

This is a dance song, not AND I AM TELLING YOU – she sang what she needed to sing and danced her ass off.

Anyone complaining about her not singing enough or that he dancing was “ok” – you need to get a reality check. For her to be able to sing one NOTE was exceptional, given the amount of dance and technique she was bringing. She killed that performance. I wasnt even watching the backup dancers.

Im not going to do the comparision thing because its not even worth it. I love that people on the internet just talk shit all day long and yall the same people dancing your fat asses on tables and falling off, same people featured on HOT GHETTO MESS.com, same people auditioning for American Idol and cant sing a note to save your life, never graced a stage and the closest you came with was Kareoke night. BITCHES PLEASE!

p.s. She looked hot, she can wear a paper bag and do the damn thing. Im not a stan, just givin props where they are due. I cant take this crabs in a barrel mentality or these simple minded ass armchair critics. A lot of you are talking loud and saying NOTHING!

Another thing is for the people saying that Justin was acting professional while Cici was being “overly” sexual… PLEASE! The song is called “Love, Sex, and Magic” not “Reduce, Reuse, Recylce”! She had to be sexy in the performance to convey the message of the song, and of course Justin couldn’t have been all on her or vice versa like in the video… this is a LIVE performance with non stop choreo, not a video where they can cut inbetween scenes and set up shots! Some of you people need to really open your EYES!

YES! I agree the BET list was BS and they should have been ashamed of the ordering of some of the people on there… ESPECIALLY to have Ciara at the bottom! Ciara is by far a better DANCER than Beyonce, and anyone who says differently clearly knows nothing about dancing! Ciara does more physical demanding and intricate movements than many dancers out today, and she is one hell of a performer! Kudos to her on this performance!

I really don’t care for all the biting because no one is original these days. Hell if you want to be technical then some strippers should be mad not Beyonce. For those who didn’t think she brought it then I have one statement. Dance and sing a whole song and see how far you get. It’s not easy, I know since I have done musicals and dance competitions. You have to conserve your energy and make it seem like you have stamina at the same time.

All that to say, I was excited and I loved the performance. She worked that stage. Not one person can say that she didn’t do something that made you go “Alright CiCi, I see you.”

I was never a huge Ciara fan. The only songs I liked were ‘1,2 Step’ and ‘Oh’. Ciara has always been one of those artist that cannot stand alone, always needs a collabo.

The dancing was OK, her dancers were better than her, IMO. But I always hate when a singer DOESN’T sing!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, I don’t see how anyone can say she brought ‘IT’ or anything else, when she didn’t do anything but ad-lib to a backup track, while writhing on the floor.

It’s funny because her and Justin were both being overly sexual in the video, but its like he realized that he has a professional image to protect and said this is not appropriate for SNL, but CiCi you go right ahead……

Ciara has always been JUST an R&B star, not a superstar, and SNL could have changed that for her. But instead she chose to sex it up, which is nothing that will get u noticed in the entertainment industry because all women choose that route when they need attention.

Her opinion was not even worthy of posting……………….

It was a really good performance.
I’m surprised that 3 albums into the game her voice is faltering on the first song.
She could have done half as much dancing and still blown all the other female entertainers out of the water.
She needs to strengthen her voice!
Otherwise she just looks like an amateur.
A beautiful dynamic well groomed amateur.
If she had the album sales (J.Lo) she could go on SNL and dance and crack and strain with no problem bc she’s selling records-
But she’s not selling records!
Don’t get me wrong I love Ciara and I want her to succeed but she let me down with that weak voice on Saturday Night Live.
All she did was showcase how good of a video she can make when she should be selling her ALBUM (voice).
I wouldn’t buy a Ciara album based on that performance I would buy a Ciara poster.

Also the styling is strange.
Beyonce did not invent the black leotard but ….
Beyonce just wore a black leotard in her VERY POPULAR Single Ladies Video.
Also, Beyonce wore a black leotard on her SNL performance like 2 or 3 episodes earlier.
Even Justin Timberlake wore a black leotard on the same damn episode.
What stylist let Ciara go on stage in a black leotard and grind her hips. (hold me tighter than my Dereon Jeans!)

I think biting and style jockin is the name of the game these days but TIMING is everything
- and she wore that look too soon when
- Beyonce is on top and Outselling her!

There’s room for everybody but one black leotard at a time! LOL!

I didn’t like her performance. I am not a Ciara or Beyonce stan, but it was Ciara who evoked the comparisons between the two with her choreography. And if you are going to compare… Beyone’s SNL perfomrnace was harder hitting, her dancing was fiercer and she seemed more confident. Ciara’s “thick” dancer was bringing it harder than Ciara. Ciara is a former high school cheerleader and I bet she’s performed better, more difficult routines during competition…smh…sorry!

Ciara is a great dancer….I dont think she is a great performer, because she cant sing to well, she would never get lost in a song or a strong ballad becuase she dont have the pipes…..and to me , IN MY OPINION, a great performer is someone who can give u the dancing, the voice, the connection with the audience…..She is just a great dancer…all we will ever say about her is ..Damn the dance sequence she did is hot, or damn the split she did was hot,…what about the voice, which is part of a performance…..I can record a album then and dance to it.. Sorry to say it but to me it DOES seem she is copying off of Beyonce. Cici being a better dancer than Beyonce? Nope. Beyonce was ranked higher on a Best Dancers list on BET. Cici having a better Beyonce? Hardly. Ciara is more toned, but Beyonce has the better curves and overall stregth.

I’m not a ciara fan but I have to say that I’m extremely impressed! She did a great great job! This girl is clearly one of the best performers out there and she does actually have talent. Her dancing is great and her vocals have really improved. I definately reckon this performance will help with the album sales
