Wyclef ft. Shakira JeanThe Border
I love myself some Shakira. This Timbaland produced track is rumored to be a left-over from previous recording sessions, but I can’t help but think otherwise. It’s so different from anything that Wyclef or Shakira has released and it has a very current sound. Unfortunately it’s tagged, but be sure to check out the community over the next few days for the untagged version. Also, be on the lookout for Shakira’s album to drop later this year! Link1/Link2

KeshaBackstabber
You may recognize Kesha (aka Ke$ha) as the guest singer on Flo-Rida’s hit single “Right Round.” Many of you probably don’t know that she’s done background vocals for a lot of today’s pop artists including Britney Spears and The Veronicas (she even co-wrote their song “This Love”). She’s teamed up with noted producers Dr. Luke and Max Martin for her debut album that doesn’t quite have a release date yet. Backstabber hasn’t been confirmed as a single, but I think it would be a good move. It’s fun, kinda quirky, and I really like the production. With two of her songs already being featured on The Hills, it’ll be interesting to see whether she can hold her own and stay relevant as a solo act. Link1/Link2

Sophia FreshDo The Dance
Sophia Fresh has so far failed to make much of an impact on the charts. This song is their rumored next single and I don’t imagine this doing much of anything chart-wise just like their previous single “What It Is.” It’s a good song, but not a great song, and Do The Dance actually samples the 2007 club smash D.A.N.C.E by Justice. I guess it works for the summertime. For me personally, there’s just way too much going on and I’m tired of the auto-tune. Let’s hope that with T-Pain being the executive producer of their album they pull it together and bring us some real hotness. Link1/Link2

Lady Gaga ft. Queen LatifahPokerface (Remix)
Queen La is really getting back into the music scene. First she dropped her latest singing effort “Chains,” and now the Queen is rapping again. She effortlessly spit a few bars on the end of the Lady Gaga smash and let us know she’s still got it. Once again, she hit us with something I never saw coming. She’s making the right moves because this definitely heightens my anticipation for her new album, Persona. Link1/Link2
