May 7, 2009 Jam It? Or Slam It? Paula Abdul – “Here For The Music”

Paula Abdul is back! Her brand new song, “Here for the Music” is set to be the lead single from her currently untitled album that’s scheduled for a Fall ‘09 release. If the song sounds familiar, it’s because the super fabulous Kylie Minogue previously recorded the track, but never released it. Paula performed the song for the first time this past Wednesday on American Idol and let me tell you, she rocked it! Even though the performance was lip-synched and the choreography was a bit dated, she was still totally on point! She looked amazing, her choreography was super energetic with lots of backup dancers, and this was definitely a great start to Paula’s comeback!
View the performance and listen to “Here for the Music” after the jump!

Paula did the damn thing!
She created this type of schtick in the late 80s/early 90s. The lip synching/ heavy choreographed numbers, and Janet and Britney followed suit.
Give this lady her props, she choreographed this.

Kudso to Paula for doing it real BIG!! She was working and getting tossed around and wasn’t missing a BEAT LOL! Of course it was lip synced but who cares she did the damn thing, and although I do think “Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow” was a little better… this song is still HOTT!!

Uhh JJ, Janet was out before Paula. So Paula followed Janet. It is good to see her doing thing. Not really crazy about the song. But kudos to her.

I agree!!! Paula will be Forever My Girl! She has had an AMAZING Season as an Idol Judge. They need to throw Kara under the Bus and keep the magic Paula brings to American Idol!

Scooby, like the other poster said, Paula choreographed Janet’s moves up until the Rhythm Nation era, which was 1991. Matter of fact, heres Paula choreographing “Nasty Boys” for Janet. http://i40.tinypic.com/28lqvr8.jpg

Here for the music is currently #22 on the itunes Top 100 Chart
For all the people who sayed Paula couldn’t comeback because of her age she has proven you wrong. To be ranked #22 out of 1,000’s of songs is great. And then she’s ranked higher than many artists under 30.
